haha, looks like a lot of fun. I'm 91kg so there's a bit too much of me for a pit bike. Plus big bore bikes are the best for your heart rate. Must remember brown undies.

I'd love to own a proper dirt bike one day when I have money and somewhere to ride it. I've only riden one once and I never got out of second gear because it was too gnarly.

On a bike like mine, or most motocrossers really, the gear ratios are really close, so second is a tall gear in trail bike terms. 3rd and 4th are pretty similar feeling really to second, rpm doesn't die out from an up shift, which is important if you have more power to apply right away as you change to get up something.

 

I was the same though, the first time I rode my mates kx250 2T I was pretty shocked (definitely mmh). I had only ridden a kx100 and a few 250 and 600 4t bikes before, and the power delivery just blew my mind on the kx250. I think 3rd was all I needed. The 450 I have now feels similar in total power (although it supposedly makes more) except its predictable, and its easy to ride steady if your riding with less experienced people or you've hurt yourself and need to limp back to the truck. its a bit more real world friendly.

WMMH: My partner and I have just been approved to rent a new house. 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom and a double garage. Say goodbye to a single carport!!! The Corona can finally come off the road and I might be able to get these mikunis on soon :)

I'll admit, I didn't need to see the Cossie to get excited, I'm just stoked they're making a 6th one. Sure, milk the franchise for all it's worth blah blah blah, I don't care, I'm a fan. :) Yes I realise that it's nothing like how things are in the real world, don't care, we all need a bit of fantasy & turn-your-brain-off entertainment every once in a while. :P

Hahahaha dude!? I'm assuming you saw me putting batteries in something for him... Everyday... No joke. He tells me I've had a shave every day he comes in, even when I'm not shaven. I have to try not to laugh too cos I'm supposed to set an example :/ and he takes up SO much time lol

wmmh - seeing the top speed readout in my old mans Patrol. The GPS unit was showing a top speed of 325km/h!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and its a diesel. Take that Landcruiser owners :doublebird:

 

The readout on the next screen gave a top speed of 223km/h......................

What do you do ? Throw off it Mt Everest ?? Or accidentally leave it with an Arab ?

I've always heard above a certain speed the commercial GPS Units are pretty bad in terms of actual speed, it goes to an approximate or something.
