Id put a switch on the clutch, so you have to engage the clutch to start the car, would be easy with a leaver micro switch, set it up so when the clutch is out it switches the leaver to NC and when you put your foot on the clutch it moves off the switch leaver and the switch goes to to the on postition completing the circuit so you can start the car.
  3. anastasios : no i havent got any pics, but its not that low there would be 20mm between the tire and the guard now as I'm after a handling car
  4. Ok here is a update, I usualy tune these things myself and i had it going nice before i took it there it was just the 6000-8000rpm end i wanted done. But when i got the car back all the setting had been changed, i thought i had them all back the way they where but i still run like shit, wouldnt idle smooth and pinged bad. Well today i went to do some checking, someone had asked if maybe it had jumped a tooth on the timing, I couldnrt get any less than about 25 deg at idle when i checked the timing today, he was right, Infact it had jumped 2 teeth on the crank, both cams where in the right places. I noticed the the induction noise was alot louder, i just thought it was me having to put the boot into it a bit harder. No wonder the poor thing was running shit. Now i have fixed the timing and its running sweet again, i still have to do the 6000-8000rpm and I'm taking it to another tuner tomorrow for that. But how hard did the dickhead that was dyno tuning it rev the engine to make it jump 2 teeth. So thanks to the people that tried to help and may we all learnt something. if your 20V starts running like shit for no real reason you know of, check the timing belt.

  6. they are Hyperstimulator. I have a template and i have a mate the has the seat mold for the fiberglass seat, You can buy them, starting at around $700aus to about $4000aus with everything. Ive built all 3 of mine.
  7. Did the compression test this morning, Thankgod its all good #1,2,3 are 230 and #4 is 225. But the #4 plug was clean nice and white but #1,2,3 Where black from being rich, Now why didnt the tuner check the plugs if it was pinging to see if it was running lean. This is also the cause of the back fire iut the throttlebody as the poor plug would have been glowing after a hard rev and and fuel igniting when the valve opend for the fuel intake. so out with the injectors and another $135 for a clean and not a flow test beacuse Tassie is backward and nobody has the adapters for the side feed injectors for a toyota, So after work i fitted the injectors and it is now running ok'ish and thats because the fuel and timing map has been messed with so much it runs bad. i drove it around the block and it didnt seem to be pinging now. Ive got a map coming from another 20V that will get me back on the way soon i hope.
  8. Well as i was just saying about how i do everything myself, Today is the reason why. I took my car to get dyno tuned today and when i pick it up i shows all the signs of being a 3 cylinder, the tuner telling me the computer isnt right for the motor, the timing jumping 15 deg, pinging badly, the car went in idling smooth plenty of power happy to rev past the VVT, to a car that almost stalls when you put down the pedal, pings with the slightest load, and wont run smooth till it gets to about 2500rpm and puffs grey smoke, and just hits a brick wall as soon as the VVT and he still charged me $150. Hows that for a great day. I'm going to do a compression test tomorrow to tell me the whole story. If its not good i guess ill be ordering another motor tomorrow and head to melb for a pro tuning shop.

  13. With the car tweak, can it do all the cars? or just the 3 first cars? we have had some fun with the and old tweaker making wheelstanding cars and cars the do 900kmh, got a bit silly after awhile
  14. cams calendar says is the 17th ,thats the monday for the motorkana. And the MGTAS reg form for that weekend also says the 17th, so i think we will be safe. the sunday is at simmons for the speed event.

  16. Trev, sorry i didnt hang around on GTL, i went and did a few laps on LFS. We have a few locals on the GTL server and it runs fine, but maybe as your further away the speed is degraded and the load on the server is getting more and the speed isnt fast enough for the stuff its running now with all the games its serving. Ill put up a faster server tonigh for the games servers, ive been planning to do it for awhile. That may fix your disconnect problems.

  18. the dedicated GT Legends server connect through direct IP, youll find us there most nights 61.9.184.88 The dedicated LFS server is on the list as "www.NA-Performance.com" Maybe we should get a rolla club LFS championship going?
  19. I too am a big fan of Live For Speed. I run a permanent server "www.NA-Performance.com" is the name of the server on the LFS master list. I also have three Hyperstimulators and the main one i use has the 900degree wheel,Clutch, they all have actlabs H patern shifters. I don't get as much time for playing lately but as winter comes ill play some more My other game i play the most is GT Legends, 60 and 70 cars with all the great muscle cars.
  20. I scratch built everything, brackets,piping etc, ive also supercharged a 4K that my brother now owns, when you have the tools anything can be done.

He is going to bolt the whole lot into his KE3x wagon. this engine was a good combination, I'm kind of wishing i didnt change to the 20V, but then again i wouldnt have wanted to push the 2T any harder without rebuilding it stronger, 7 PSI boost was good but to get more power it would need more boost. The 20V is producing the about the same power but doesnt have the lowdown torque. the 2T had enough power to do easy 2nd gear drifting. The 20v doesnt have the power to do that. Well untill i turbo it:)

  25. Bought a new seat and ordered the other matching one today Trev : I sold the motor complete with the SC. But i still have the new heavy duty clutch for the 2T
