Todays pic, relocated the throttlebody to the inlet of the blower, Just need to make the blower output to plenum pipe.

This is for my brother as he is slack. I'm currently rebuilding the engine. This is my old ke70 and the wheels on the car in the pic are not on it anymore as i kept them when i sold it to him, but i don't have any updated pics of the car for now. This is the engine and supercharger set up i built for my brothers mate (KE30) and then he sold it to my brother and it is now fitted to the KE70 This is what i have been doing today. Now this was a rebuilt motor from a company "5 Star" and was the engine out of the KE70 originaly but had a blown head gasket, We stripped the engine to find its not that old, its bored 40 thou and i don't know if thats what a 4K came with but it has flattop pistons, should go well with 10psi boost :faq:

I need a complete Diff for a ke30, I want to make it a CIG locker for the upcomming Drift meet on the 18th at symmons, It has to be cheap as it may just be a one off event for me as i may really suck at drifting a KE rolla and i can't use a locker for normal circuit racing.

its not turbo'ed yet, i may not happen if i get quicker as there is really no need. Will just wait and see. Ive got lots of handling things to do that should make the car better, the brakes are fine for the 4 laps but much more and they could start ot over heat , I do need to change the front brake pads as they are the ones that where on the struts when i bought them from the wreckers, who knows what they are. Its fun driving it around the track. I find it doesnt need much steering input for the corners. you kind of point it in the direction and it just goes, Its not sliding but it feels like it steering at the rear aswell.

my best time for the day was a 1:13.32 and this is about the only good shot taken of me. And yes I'm behind the datto. First time ive raced or even driven it in the wet so i was taking it easy and stayed behind him.

sorry the engine sold before i could blink. I had a good day at simmons planes, i went from 1:19's to 1:13's with the new engine, rear end and tires, i know i can get another 1-2 seconds with some camber at the front, more free flowing exahust and getting the extra 1000rpm I'm missing for a reason ive always had and thought i had fixed, I'm sure its a fuel problem, but i upgraded the fuel lines and fitted a bosch 910 but its stil there. I'm winding it off the clock (180kmh) in 4th gear at just 7000rpm so I'm hoping with the other 1000rpm in each gear it should push it over the 190kmh. Not using 5th as there isnt enough track. More power will help that. I got heaps of video of the day but its huge file size, i need to compress it and make it more download frendly. Anyone know of software thats free for the task?

I don't belive they are the same pump, I was using a VL item before, the diffrence is noticable in size, the new pump weight twice as much and is heaps bigger. But it has made a diffrence to top end as the old pump started leaning out if you held it flat and took it to 7000+ 1,2 and 3 you could feel it starting to back off at around 7000, it just couldnt keep up the flow. I will have a video taken inside when i do my family laps before racing starts on sunday.

I belive its the stock diff, one axle makes a small bearing noise but other than that it handles the power ok for now. But I'm still struggling with the gearbox, i had trouble down changing back to second gear after i put oil in, i found that i had overfilled it and that was the problem. But at 8000rpm it wont go up any gears now with less oil, i just can't win. and after today putting in the new bosch 910 fuel pump also as the old one couldnt flow enough fuel, at 7880rpm (thats when i changed gear according to the Microtech) in 3rd gear is 140kmh, when i was racing at simmonsplanes with the old motor i was pushing 170kmh up the back straight in 5th, Now I'm sure i can easy go over that now, still got 2 more gears to make 30kmh+ :) :) so next sunday night ill give you all a update or that day i could be a father for the second time as the 28th was the due date for my son. I wonder if he will have anything to do with cars. :D :( :P :P (my 6 year old daughter loves the cars too, Always wants to go fast)

Ill be racing, it will be the first time ill be taking to 20 Valve out racing. I'm intrested to see how it goes compared to the old engine, it would be fun to race a fellow rolla driver. Last time there wasnt too many for me to race with and it was my first time and i had shit $59 special tires on, this time ive also got some Toyo Proxy RA1 comp tires.

Was the microtech ordered for THAT motor or did you get it secondhand?

ummm about the 4K-ZE, it broke another shaft on the blower so i don't think that will happen, but we are working on it. If anyone knows of a ribbed belt pullywheel for the crank of a 4K let me know so i can put the other spare blower we have on.

I used to have a Datsun 180B with a L20 and a to4 turbo running 20psi boost, all that power in a crappy 180b i sold it as parts. The last car i has that went fast is my ET pulsar, had a few mods but went well, i sold it neally a year ago and have seen it in the last week. I don't like selling my modified car, i usualy sell off the modified parts and return them back to standard as i hate this happening to someone.

My car is now fully tuned and running well. its reving well to 7500rpm and the VVT gomes on like hitting 7 psi boost at 4100rpm. But the fuel pump now seems to be a problem. I think thats why its having a little trouble getting the full 8000rpm, sometimes it will pull hard to 7500 in first and second and to about 7000 in third and it just goes flat, it just doesnt flow enough. Ive got my eye on a bosch 910 efi pump should fix that problem. Oh and second gear in the box is almost unselectable, i need to be letting out the clutch as i select 2nd for it to pop in.

See if you can find a stuffed factory ecu some where and gut it, mount your aftermarket ecu inside the box and try to make the plug coming out look factory, them mount it in the passenger kick panel so its just visable, so when its noticed by the engineer, he/she will most likley just go stright past it as a standard install.
