  1. you will get bored with any little power upgrade you do, so i wouldn't waste your money on the whole pod filter + exhaust thing. maybe test drive a 4age powered corolla and see how much of a difference that would be.
  2. looks way better now it has the proper early grill.
  3. i thought the connection from the back of the head was to allow water to flow around the head (even before the thermostat opens) mine is similar to this setup (taken from witzl's guide)
  4. i had to get a serial to USB cable and then download a special driver for it to hook up my haltech.
  5. thats the way i put the wires in the '20 too. except coming out high on the pillar and then low into the door.
  6. what car is it in? i'm not sure where the thermostat was original, i have a 4ac thermostat and used a photo on the Witzl's guide on toymods. i thought you had to have the water outlet on the back of the head coming back to the thermostat?
  7. i'm about to do this as well. for the water outlet of the turbo, i would have guessed to tap into the hose which goes from the water outlet on the back of the head (next to firewall) to the thermostat. for the feed i would have guessed to tap into the hose from the water pump? not entirely sure how your setup is at the moment, but mine has no heater hoses attached.
  8. its usually on again on regular channel 2 late on friday nights.
  9. i didn't know they played it on the radio as well. i was on Hack (radio) a few months ago talking about drug driving

  11. townace diff centres go for $600 to $800 for used.
  12. lol, i was going to say hopefully the stock one and not an expensive converted one!
  13. you can get superlites (similar to watanabe) made up in any size and offset.
  14. $157750 over 5 years could buy a pretty fancy car which you could drive every day instead of once a month.
  15. kr42 was 97 - 2004 i believe, the later ones have EFI. i'll get an axle code for you later on. i'm not sure if its the route you want to take, all the wreckers i've spoke too say blowing diffs is a common fault on these vans. i've considered a diff conversion on my van but i'm buying selling it and buying a hilux instead.
  16. what diff was this?
  17. i have a kr42r and they seem to shit diffs all the time. oh, hang on the 92 town ace isn't a kr42r.
  18. 1) i'm using a ke55 diff in the rear of my '20. 2) not me 3) i don't expect it to last too long when my car goes back on the road with the turbo 4age. 4) my mate re welded the mounts for me, so $0 (maybe a bourbon or two) 5) not me. i'll hopefully do the r31 option down the track.
  19. so how much was the chaser landed, complianced and rego'd here in aus?
