  1. This looks a tad bigger than the KE30 booster, but much smaller than the KE55/KE70 booster. I have never seen one with a Willwood master cylinder or square fluid bottle or vertical stud pattern, I don't think these are Corolla brake parts. The master and booster could be from something else altogether, or they could be generic aftermarket parts, or a combination of the two. I would look for part numbers on the booster/master/bottle/cap and call a brake shop. You wouldn't be the first person with a 30+ yearold car and some mystery parts :)
  2. It's two identical carbs, both primaries open at the same time, then both secondaries open as your foot approaches the floor. They're just like the single carb though if I remember correctly the true Sprinter dualcarbs have slightly smaller jets.
  3. KE30 has thin (9mm) discs and KE55/70 has thick (12mm) discs. As has been said, the calipers are also different. KE55/70 brakes will bolt onto KE30 hubs, you'll need the backing plate and caliper from the 55/70 strut as well. Alternately you can just swap in the entire KE70 strut onto the KE30 strut top. Either way, the "upgrade" is pretty negligible, there's no difference in diameter. If you can get the bits for free and enjoy bleeding brakes in your spare time then do it, otherwise the advice to reco your existing stuff is probably the best. It's amazing how much of a firm pedal you get when you replace those corroded 30yo brake lines with new ones that aren't polluting your brake fluid with rust. Strut upgrades are briefly covered on the wiki too - http://www.rollaclub.com/wiki/index.php?title=KE55_Front_Strut_Upgrades
  4. Great! Though my dairy-intolerant stomach is paying the price.
  5. holy crap! i totally hope you're in queensland, i'd love to see this thing on a track reminds me of that rb25-powered ae86 i saw at queensland raceway one day, under full throttle it got so much twist up, the hatch would flap. didn't turn the best, but got around corners eventually, and was amazing on the straights
  6. now that is some awesome homework :jamie: :|
  7. hahaha that is so awesome, just like gta san andreas
  8. rad looking car, must be a pretty quick little thing. tho i don't know how you can be bothered putting up with all the tyre rub and clearance issues. nice work, keep it clean and subtle :y:
  9. i don't like your chances. if they're 8" rims in the photo, they're probably just missing the strut as is, and you want to move an inch inwards, and an inch smaller in diameter not to mention it will ruin the handling with the 50psi you'll need to keep in the tyres, and turn your car into copbait
  10. 1500 bucks for a 4age ke25, some people have all the luck! score :y:
  11. actually, it is tighten fully then back off 2.5 turns, however i've had cars which wouldn't start on anything under 4 turns out tune for whatever your car drives best with. turning out is richer. using a 5c coin to turn the idle screw makes it SO much easier
  12. weird, my engine builder dudes had no troubles getting them in when you tap in the replacement plug, seal it with something. epoxy or metal epoxy should do it, just a very light smear on the outside rim
  13. dude, go to a mechanic "my car makes a whining noise, i think it's from here" is not something you can even try to accurately diagnose over the internet
  14. where's that for? i've never had a drama getting them
  15. abc at oxley just got an alright-condition ke30/55 sedan with round headlights and non-removable bonnet vents. it'd been hit up the bum, the front end and interior looked fine though
  16. consume alcohol, walk from qpac to valley, see who we meet and what happens watch out for valley alleys, some dude got stabbed near empire on the weekend
  17. teddy? haha nah, i know that blue car ;) similar looking dude tho, curlyish brown hair
  18. measure the diameter and thickness of the brake discs, compare to dba catalog, that probably will tell you what struts they are. mark from nz also has toyota strut measurements based on brakes, bolt hold spacing and steering arm measurements - www.toycrazy.net starion wheels, they look pretty good, and would be wider than stock steelies, and probably most celica/torago alloys you can find. nice score! starions are not really "common", but you can get them if you look, kinda like ke10s are red springs could be pedders, fulcrum or koni off the top of my head
  19. blue twin headlight ke70 with a front lip, rollaclub sticker on the back window. some gold meshy wheels, lowered. springwood at lunchtime. looked pretty rad ;)
  20. needs moar pictures ;)
  21. change of compression, modifications to distributor, change of fuel octane, tuning to get quicker response down low but less top end or vice versa
  22. http://www.google.com.au/search?q=headlight+reminder+kit
  23. notice that also says "spacer band" if you get all new bands - ie: a new one-piece 7" wide band - and get your center welded into that, that is legal
  24. i wish i could weld! looking forward to seeing this progress :bash:
  25. from memory mine were about 80 bucks a spring. i removed and installed the spring pack myself
