  1. Check that you're not leaking water out of the heater core. :(
  2. Says its a 13b IHI turbo, but it looks more like a HKS item to me!!! :(
  3. I'll pop up some time this week and have a look, sorry I didn't reply to sms. With the alternator - The ke55 ones have a 2 wire plug, and also a ring terminal that goes onto a little post that sticks out the back of the alternator. Did you hook this up? Or did you accidentally earth it when/if you did? Oh, and let me guess,........you put a Pride can over the coil!? :(
  4. yeah accelerate.....then run out of legs faster!! :) Or go through the gears quicker, not neccesarrally any faster! :(
  5. So it was the ke55 brackets that were the problem?
  6. Yeah just install an electric pump in the boot/under car. See what you can get free/cheap. If not get a Holley Red (Blue is too big!) or Carter Green. I prefer Carters as they're self priming and it doesn't matter where you put them. :lolcry:
  7. Ah thats better! :lolcry: Was either T2 or DP, with the push on (as apposed to bolt on) compressor inlet and outlet. Hard to tell sizes in pics so I guessed a T2 from the waste gate position. ;)
  8. Is that a T2 off an ET/EXA? If so it gunna be too small for a 4age!!! It'l be responsive as hell with no lag and heaps of torque, but you'll stuggle to make decent top end power. ;) Get atleast a t25 or t28 for it. They have the same T2 inlet flanges, but a different dump flange. But once you have these flnages, there is HEAPS of bolt in future upgrades in the Garret GT25 and GT28 families. :lolcry:
  9. What did you do about a fuel pump? Just using the mechanical 3t pump?
  10. #1 is the hole Nick cut for a hydraulic clutch. #2 is were the rubber boot on the cable sits #3 is were the pedel end of the cable attaches, and will line up with #2. :lolcry:
  11. ;) 180x24.1x21 is for a K-T50 AE71 has a 200mm clutch plate. :lolcry:
  12. I can help now!! :lolcry: S1 (s1 has drum rear) & S2 rx7's are 4x110 as you know, but s3's are actually 4x114.3! ;) S3 factory race lsd's aren't too hard to find, but you don't want that stud pattern. Best bet for a s2 lsd is a guru centre (looking at about $1000 with no gears. Then, here's the bit you'll like - the S2 centre being mazdas "medium sized diff" came in many many cars throughout the years, hence giving you HEAPS of ratios to choose from..... 1500 wagon – 4.675:1 ratio 1500 sedan – 4.11:1 R100 – 3.7:1 or 3.63:1 Capella – 3.9:1 RX-2 auto and late 3.9:1 RX-2 early manual 3.7:1 RX-3 – 3.7:1 1600cc 808 – 3.7:1 929 – 3.9:1 (later cars had 3.909:1) 12A RX-4 – 3.9:1 121 – 4.11:1 626 – 3.9:1 929L – 3.7:1 E1300 – 4.875:1 E1400 –4.44:1 E1600 – 4.1 E1800 / 2000 – 3.9 Most Diesel vans were around 3.9:1 1st Generation RX-7 – 3.9:1 For more info on Mazda diffs, there's not much that isn't covered in this thread...... http://ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2695
  13. They are interchangable,.....if you swap the whole lot!!! Ke30 MC is long and skinny, with either 2 resivours on top, or one on top and one on the strut tower. Ke55 MC is shorter and fatter and has the big square resivour on top. The '55 one is the better of the two, although there's not much difference. A '30 MC won't fit a '55 booster and vice versa, as the '55 one has offset bolts. :lolcry:
  14. Pretty sure 55 diffs are 3.9 for manuals and the autos are 4.something
  15. Coil is installed (thanks Casey for the bracket  ), put a couple more earth straps on....and what'd know  It runs on the "fouled" plugs!!! So I'll save the new plugs I got today for tuning. Took it for a quick drive again tonight. Loves boost under 50% throttle! :) ....but just coughs and plutter with any more. :) Can't wait till Thursday!! :) :)
  16. 12v coil should be here today thanks to Darren!! :) Will get some more new plug, leads, and also put some more earth straps on the motor tonight. Will keep ya's posted.
  17. Yes, and correct! :) And James - We might have a chat about these 5k bit tomoz.
  18. Should the card say "speacialising in BITE sized...." no BIT sized!? :)
  19. You can hand hed one yeah? with enough cable to get to exhaust tip? If I was to get one, this might be to go then I can use it in all of my cars! :) Alternatively would one of these do?..... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-UNIVERSAL-2-WIR...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-UNIVERSAL-1-WIR...1QQcmdZViewItem Now on to Ignition.... Have been looking at CDi unit today. I have 9 days to get something sorted if I want to have it in for dyno tuning next Thursday!!!! And somehwhat limited funds, as I'l have to buy a coil too. I want some opinions on this unit..... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-PROCOMP-CDI-IGN...1QQcmdZViewItem Only really looking at it because of price and availability. Could have it installed by dyno day. THEN, if it turns out to be not that great or if I want to go MSD/CRANE or multicoil, I have other cars it could go on! Might be a good unit for 'dirt' or 'mud'!! Will just have enough for this, a coil, other little bits and pieces and tuning next week.
  20. Nope, don't have one at all!
  21. Yeah, idling is the problem. I was advised by the mechanic who will be tuning it NOT to use a O2 sensor for closed loop control, turned that off in the setting the other day. Nah haven't taken it out yet Nick. Wil get some new plugs, leads and coil later in the week. And will go see Mr Sherriff shortly and book it in for next Thursday (26th).
  22. :lolcry: ....3 posts up mate!
  23. :y: Now the biggest A/V company in the world!!!! I should know,.....cause I work for them too!!! Been wordering how long it would take to find another employee on here. Markske25, I'm the ESM in the HGC Launceston. :lolcry:
  24. I've tried nocking the fuel down a bit, both in the map and the overall trim. Seems to run well were it is, its more like the spark just can't deal with it and fouls up the plugs! I'll have to wait till next week when I get paid to get it on Sherriff's rollers. Can come play in the mean time if you want!? :y: Oh yeah, well I am gunna need at least a new coil Darren! :lolcry:
  25. Yeah I've got 315cc 7mge injectors the same as Madrolla and fuel pressure is also 30psi Felix. However, my reg is a 1.7:1 RR. Been worndering if this is and issue now. Took it for another quick drive today to maccas, and ended up sitting in the drive through for ages,....and fouled another set of plugs!! :lolcry: Only just made it home! Thinking I might also put some new plug leads on it aswell, incase one of them is farked. :y:
