  1. Well the 040 works in the vicinity of 2.5 - 3.5 bar, what do you think happens when the pressure rises above it's working range? And I just realised that this won't apply to him as he will be running the external pump, intake pumps such as the 040 have the bypass as they are a pressure lift.
  2. I think it was the KE3*'s that had it. I would be seeing what you can do with the 3 speed from the KE3-5 series in terms of upgrades before going to anything like a TH box. The A40D from the AE71 might be worth a look too.
  3. They had to make something to hold the tissues for the sub E7 (AE71 mainly )owners
  4. Oi, this ain't your site :P
  5. Well look into it then. It is a pressure relief in the feed side of the fuel pump where once it gets to maximum pressure it opens up and bleeds the fuel off back into the tank. If you wanna go look at it then that is fine by me.
  6. You might of unclipped the fork from the box when putting it in, is there only back and forth movement or is there up and down aswell?
  7. My son worked out that they break the other day when he tried to throw one at his mum, kid wasted my damn cheesybite.
  8. Goodna, the fuel pressure should be 35 - 38psi. When you say vl turbo pump do you mean aftermarket or factory as the vl turbo pump is the same as the vk efi and the non turbo vl, the bosch 040 on the other hand has a working pressure of 2.5 (36psi) - 3.5 bar (50psi), as I said, if the reg was not working properly then the pump would go into bypass and would eventually get stuck there, had a few pumps do this in the time of working on skylines where the filter normally gets clogged and restricts the line flow killing the pump. It may be a one off situation tho where the fuel pump just won't let go.
  9. If this was the case then after a few years you think the fuel pump would be dead. Put a fuel gauge in front of the fuel rail (pump side). Where are you located, might be easier to just look at it.
  10. Looks like calcium build up from poor fuel.
  11. wow, I have only ever seen pics of that, fkn insane.
  12. Ok, well I wasn't 100% sure on the rt142 being the same, I know that celica will fit the 86 struts, here is a post from here on the steer arms. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=41616&view=findpost&p=439457

  16. This is the second time ever where I have had a problem with one of my cars, 9 years ago I came home to find my vh and vr clubsport up on blocks with the wheels missing (lived in a rural area), had the clubsport wheels on the vh and my fake walkies on the clubsport, was not happy as they both weren't insured.

  18. And a stand alone engine management system, not a bad way to spend 10 grand :lolcry: Sorry, had to.
  19. That was meant to be a secret
  20. A radiator flush does not guarantee a 100% working radiator, they actually flush them by poking metal rods through the galleries in the radiator, if they can't get the large one through then they will work their way down in size until they can. He can't just get a recore, the tanks are stuffed. He was stating that for $800 you could get an alloy rad. Des I just rang JAR for you to find out if they do a KE1* rad and they said the one for the TA22 they make is the same, it is priced at $499. http://www.alloyradiators.com.au/
  21. Using my pic is a copyright infringement :laff: No no, you are allowed to drive excels when you get old.

  23. Posting on behalf of a member on a bike forum I moderate. Hi everyone. My FZR250 was stolen, yesterday, Wednesday the 15th of September between 9:30AM and 5:00 PM. It was parked in front of Box Hill Tafe on 1001 Whitehorse rd Box Hill Victoria. The bike has a very distinctive Virgin coloursceme, and white wheels. This bike was my pride and joy and I had built it baisically from the frame up. I would greatly appreciate everyone just keeping an eye out for the bike, as it is very distinctive, and contact me ASAP if you see anything or have any information. Reward offered. Thanks for your time, I have with held his name and number, if you have any info just post or pm me.
