Ok i'll hang my head in shame now.. I found it on a mini truck forum, there was that pic plus another one with a lite ace ute next to it and just thought they both looked roughly the same so it was two and two makes..... <goes off to hide in shame>

trimatic from the 4k. You'll need the flex plate etc etc. But i'm not sure about if the front uni on the prop shaft will fit or not. And as for possibly finding one - either post up a wanted thread in the sale section of the forum or "let your fingers do the walking" in the phone book.

Oh yes i how that is :( When you take off, put your foot down and it'll hold first till you back your foot or it reaches, i think, about 85. I'm tending to drive my toyoglide as a two speed clutchless manual

Nar, i think it might have been cause i got stuffed around a little bit with it all. They've done it a couple of other times but haven't been all that worried about. But any ways, Amber (the other half) went into autobarn today to check up on how it was all going and about an hour or so later got a call to say they've come in. The kit "47112" i almost felt like having an argument over. Tried telling the guy i needed two (2) kits, "but in the book it only says one kit is needed". So now i'm right and it looks like a trip back to the 'barn to order the second kit. Oh well its getting there

Installed a vacuum gauge over the weekend. Tow ball cover and a bit of aluminium And fitted the speedo from a ke50 Next instalment will be tacho and hopefully some nolathane bushes. If the f@$kers ever leave brisbane. Went into autobarn on saturday to see if they were in and found out they've been sitting at the brisbane depot for about a week or so....

I'm not going to ask how you found that

Mate, could almost turn into a slugging match on which is stronger - toyota, ford 9in or Dana. And i wouldn't even touch the 9in, unless it's been modified. Double spring hangers :) thats something i haven't heard for a while. Get it right and..... Back on topic - one thing to note on a 4wd, more maintenance (depends on which way you look at it but) and a bit more fuel. But if you go for a diesel, look into lpg injection ;)

If its the two door turbo version, its classed as a sports car for insurance because of the turbo and two doors. Even knowing that its a 4wd oil burner

My guess would be t-50. Cause the ep starlet runs the same fwd gearbox as the fwd corollas http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40146 I've got other links but just to lazy to find them plus i'm leaving for the movies :hmm:

Yeah its not really that hard to do. Its more of a bitch session then anything. Make sure you have a hunt around on the fordmods site for any tips or that

A pair of eyes a pair of hands a brain cell or two or three between the ears. A torch a jack something to sit the car body on - eg: jack stands a few spanners a few sockets and handle maybe a hammer screwdriver or two and a spring compressor Loosen wheel nuts jack car up place jack stand under car take wheel off have a look up under guard for where strut goes etc etc remove bolts that hold strut to the steering arm if possible loosen nut that's at the top of the shocky remove bolts that hold the top of the strut to the car body lever down control arm to remove strut use spring compressors to compress spring BEFORE removing nut on shocky remove top hat, top spring perch and spring (either still compressed or not) have fun with gland nut Reinstall in reverse order :y: :hmm: and go have a look here - http://www.fordmods.com/

Dash mat. Simple. Can get a pre-made one from an auto shop or DIY one from Spot Light go to the fabric section and have a wonder - vinyl right up to that fake tiger print stuff from the 70's.

Bit like ripples on a lake. Way cool :hmm:

No holes just the boss thing or what ever their called. Might be able to get away with a 4a-c block and move the whole 4a-fe kit and caboodle over (crank, pistons, head, etc etc) Dizzy relocation :hmm: about 50 bucks for a quality hammer to modify the firewall. Suzisport here in Australia makes an "Angle Drive Kit" for the dizzy on the g13b twin cam from the swift gti so the motor can be fitted into the serria about $400 for the adaptor, it'll you give a bit of an idea on what to expect. Another idea is modifying the dizzy or do away with it altogether and run a crank angle sensor which would also mean a computer change or at least adding in a "little black box" to modify the signal from the sensor for the computer to read and fire the plugs. But its one idea that i'm not all that learned up on. But i wouldn't expect any change from $600 maybe even still have to fork out more. All in all it'll be easier to go for the 4ag

Have a few extras to add that i've found. Side on shot of the difference in height From the top down showing the difference in the triangle of the bolts. T-18 and KE55(and ke3x) are the same apart from the bolts, KE70 has one corner of the triangle longer This is where it gets interesting - The top spring perches for the t-18 ke55/3x are, apart from the looks, are the same diameter. I'm running ke30 perches on my t-18 springs. Side shot showing the height difference and with the top hats Can see why i went with the ke30 perch and top hat Hope you do mind with the extras, Dan.

Right off the top of my head - dizzy location. Its at the back of the head which means it'll be angled towards the firewall. Next one is engine mounts - the 4afc that i had, had the bosses for where the mounts get bolted onto the block but they hadn't been drilled and tapped. So my guess would be that it'd be the same with the 4afe. Still have the thing so i can take photos if your not sure what i mean.

Urm, about 60. Think it could go faster but haven't taken the car out of town and into the 100 zone. Me thinks the poor old thing would scream its tits off but

Yeah, it keeps freezing, losing sound, the picture disappears and when it comes back its not a stop and restart instead its continued on

Cheap to run ? Bi fuels ? Can she do both at the same time ? I've heard that some models tend to run a bit better on both from time to time
