easy swap, which t50 did you get? as the earlier one's from the t18/ta22 have the same spline to suit your stock tailshaft. also need: new engine mounts t50 gearbox mount will fit straight in minimal wiring for odd things (pretty much the same as 4k) radiator hoses are pretty simple to match up to stock radiator stock throttle cable or get a ae71 throttle cable as the 4k one is a little long lol exhaust is on same side but will need different front pipe thats about it.....

i think what mr .T. was saying is that to mount a 2gr into a MR2 is a little easier than mounting a 2gr into RWD format, not because of the mounts but because of the bellhousing/starter setup.....why so angry? :)

lol, have you seen how tall a 1GR is? no way it'll fit in a rolla/celica/supra.........

you lot sound like a bunch of whinging old farts lol (and I'm 30) those tyres look fine to me and i bet they will NEVER pop off the bead unless you hit a gutter...... i've run strecthed tyres for years and never had a problem, although there is a limit to useful stretch ;)

my choice would be a 1.3/1.5/1.6 m series suzuki engine mated to a jimny rwd gearbox. My reasons: gearbox is small and still cable clutch engines are cheap and the inlet on the jimny engines and the ignis motors come in from the top so no problems with firewalls etc fuel ecomony is excellent! dime a dozen too.......

I'm doing this conversion into a ra60, i bought a burnt out kluger for a dummy motor for now and later on ill just get a stat write off aurion from the auctions as they only go for around $1500 and you get the whole thing....... P.s and you can't use a rwd 1gr bellhousing as they have a bigger block pattern.........

Bit of a stab in the dark but: Clutch disc maybe - TYD008U Pressure plate - TYC553 Throw out bearing ring exedy with original bearing number?....

Thought I'd put this up to track it's progress, I have had a few sedans but not a wagon so this will be fun :), I got this particular one off a young girl who drove it while on her P's and before that it was an old lady car. Interior is original and unmolested and no rips/tears nothing! It looked like it was "repaired" a while back and now starting to uncover the horror!! As I got it, you can see the colour change down the side.... Hmm...?? Same on both sides! Cut out rust and put in new metal, no bog!!!!!!! This started off as a bubble!! Most of it is welded up now and half way through the wheel arch, I bought some ke70 front guards to do the flare job so I'll have to find some dished rims to fill the guards!! Car is going to be a daily so nothing too serious but I want it looking decent al least :)

That's one of the hardest sections to fix on these cars so if its your first time then you're going to struggle....I sound negative but its the truth, I've had to do this twice and you have to go from the TOP not underneath which means your going to have to either cut or drill out the metal from the top and work your way back from there. That's how far in I had to go and I have already made a new heater vent in that pic And this it all back together:

a mate and i just put in a elec 4k dizzy in his ke70, as far as i know we installed it right and seems to run ok but it pings its but off! even when i adjust the timing as far as i can both ways (the slot in the dizzy limits how far i can rotate it) it still does it, and when we do get it to almost stop pinging its slugish as all hell!! whats going on???

i thought it was a 4Efte?

there's a very sad looking ke50 at the wreckers up here, what were you looking for exactly?

1. use bare corona strut and xt130 lower control arm (this will give neutral camber instead of positive) 2. st185 celica standard length insert 3. not sure, there are two different falcon spring sizes and 1 of them doesnt fit. i had corona struts in mine with stock ke70 top hat and ke70 king springs in the front.

yeah it does idle pretty high (don't have a tacho though) we just wound it back until it idled okish, we're putting a tacho in soon so i'll find out then.

hello, a friend and I went and picked up his ke70 on the weekend, it had some problems starting so we went and got a new coil and new dist cap, it already had new spark plugs too. anyway we eventually got it started (the points were replaced but not set correctly) and it was all good, on the way to a mates place it was pinging like crazy when you tried to go a little fast then normal so we checked the timing and it was on like 30* btdc!! i tried to bring it back to around 8 or 10 but it would die at around 15? whats goin on?

what motor was it again? a 3teU? is that a efi setup?

i don't think i can help with the tuning problems, i do however have a ae71 radiator you can have. i'm in toowoomba.

just thought i'd put this up as it may help some who have a ke70/ae71 with a standard radiator. I came across a bigger one at a market place (fluke) its out of a 1979 holden sedan (not sure what exactly) the core is the same height, the end tanks and brackets are exactly the same as the original, the top pipe is in the same spot but the bottom one is on the other end (big deal) and it is about 50mm wider and it cost me $20!! i havn't put it in yet but i don't think it's guna be that hard.

have you got all your parts yet mate? i may be able to help out with the crossmember/gbox/clutch master and slave cylinders and engine mounts if u still need them. i'm from toowoomba.

could you pleeease get a shot of how much steering lock you have? i wana see if its worth getting p/s arms for mine!
