  1. I've got 14x7 +8 MA61 mags on the 55, they don't scrub on either the struts at the front or the leaves at the rear, but they do stick out slightly from the guards. Suspension is stock and stiff enough though so they never scrub on the guards even when the car is fully loaded
  2. Whats wrong with the U13? I love those things, I plan on putting a KA24DE in the KE55 some day....
  3. So many Queenslanders got injured that I thought I was watching a Knights game for a second... :)
  4. I want it Now Give it to me
  5. And the SR plate conveniently covers up the holes where the strut brace can bolt to :lolcry:
  6. The VVTi badge was on the 4-cylinder Sportivos, as they had the 2AZ-FE VVTi engine. The difference between the 140kw and 145kw 1MZ is purely in the exhaust, which is why the stock models had 140 and the Sportivos got 145kw (the upgrade was made available on all models though, I think) That'd be the 5VZ-FE, older series than the MZ, same series as the original 2.5L 2VZ and 3.0L 3VZ Camry V6s. Plenty of torque, but not much in the way of power (134kw)
  7. Correct, the resistor is there for the coil, not the dizzy. The easy way to tell if the coil needs a ballast resistor or not is to check the part number - ones which need resistors generally have R at the end of their name, eg GT40R If you don't want to get a GT40 coil because of their reputation, go for Echlin instead, they tend to be cheaper than the Bosch ones and I've never heard of problems with them
  8. Pretty sure we never got that version, best we saw out of the old MZ was 145kw in the Avalon and Sportivo Camry
  9. True, the one I got was thrown in for free with a spare parts rust-mobile that I got, so I can't comment on it's availability....build plate says 4KEU, and 5K cap and rotor fit and it's got the internal ignitor too, really should get around to installing it as Billie seems to be losing a bit of power these days (most likely timing, either static or points)
  10. Or off a 4KE, it's the same dizzy (well, 5K cap and rotor fit)
  11. You can tell that this is American, as we got the 5-speed K50 behind the 4K in some KE55s and KE70s. America never got the KE55 I think. And we never got the 3A in the AE70, and our AE86/85 (which one it is is up to debate) had the 4AC and T50.
  12. The only thing heavier than a T-series boat anchor is the R-series boat attached to it. Just like the T-series, they needed twin carbies and DOHC to make decent power, although they sounded like pure porn when hotted up.
  13. Toyota have publically stated that the TRD Aurion is NOT meant to compete with the XR6 and SS. Instead, it's designed more for the Liberty GT kind of market, more of a sports cruiser.
  14. Could be worse, could be a dildo-shaped one.....and yes, they do exist
  15. Also, if they reject your registration, don't worry about it. Do it again, making sure you fill out EVERYTHING correctly, including a phone number, and they should let you in. Basically, be yourself and you'll have no problems
  16. In case anyone else is interested, there's one (at least) on eBay right now, closing in 5 days, for $1 ($10 postage) KE55 Gregorys manual eBay
  17. Only problem being that it's an RA28, not an RA23 RA23 is coupe, RA28 is liftback
  18. What I want to know is why the hell is a T18 waterpump 500 freaking dollars? Thats more than the car is worth, let alone the engine
  19. Looks a lot like Pineapple (my ex-spares car), just without the rust I've got some 13x6.5 Hotwires, by the way if you're interested
  20. stock offset for the 13s is +20 methinks. +8 on a 7-inch rim and around 185-195 tyres will fit within the guards, but only just (at the front). This means that 14" MA61 rims fit, as I've got on my KE55
  21. The 4-door KE55 is the KE55e. I think the coupe is the KE55s. So annoying how Toyota decided to abandon their naming conventions with the '55s
  22. 4x114.3, offset should be around +20
  23. Usually about $250 a wheel, with no tyres
