  1. whered you get that price? 135 bucks is waesome
  2. That red ute thing looks pretty rad.
  3. There is a phenominon known as 'vapour lock' as well. Where, if a pump is asked to suck fuel a long way, it can lower the pressure at the pump inlet enough to boil the fuel (very local boiling I'm talking about, around the impella blades of the pump), and essentially it casues the pump to try to pump fuel vapours, which is not a good idea. This phenominon is worse if the fuel is hot already (from either too big a pump, or fuel lines running close to hot things). so yeah better to get as much positive pressure as you can at the inlet of the pump, which can be done by mounting it closer to the tank, or as suggested lower to the tank.
  4. Option 1 garage is where i got mine, they used to have prices on their website, but seem to have dissappeared now. about 1 yr ago, it was $620 for a set of 4 fitted and balanced for 205/50R16.
  5. are you comparing the ku31 to the 595 SS? or the 595 RSR. ive had the ku31 and its alright, but it wasnt that great, just a slightly better than average normal tyre. this is the 595 SS This is the 595 RSR, which has a treadwear rating of like 140, which is quite low (so nice and sticky!)
  6. nice mate! I never got off my ass and joined the team. I checked out the car a few times though (must have been 2008 car back then....) what size restricter do they have to use these days?
  7. Federal 595 RSR are awesome, and cheap. Had them on my corolla and now have them on my wrx.
  8. My mother in law had a man come to her house and quote on putting an additional window in her bedroom, after a quick look he turned to her, and with a stern, yet sympathetic tone he said "Big job lady" Now i am unsure if you are a lady or a man, but the reality is, the same applies. Big job. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/12009-1JZ-in-a-KE70 If you can get the to the toymods link in my post in that thread. That will show you what you need to do. That car was for sale a while ago, dunno if it sold, but for the price he was asking you coudlnt build half of it.
  9. very cool! I like the yellow lights.
  10. http://www.ae86drivi...php/t-2205.html Here is some classic forum conflicting information. but if you read between the lines it seems the ke30/ke55 is pretty close to the beloved xt130 LCAs. I am amazed at how much people will pay for xt130 control arms. also http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/38573-tie-rodtubeke70ke3x5x-faq/
  11. Do those axel tramp rods work? Almost like a trailing arm between the chassis and the diff to stop the leaf spring winding up.
  12. You gotta be keen! Though brand new aftermarket screens are ~300. So double isn't so far for genuine....triple though.....
  13. very cool, i like the lip very much. what does Shiro-Bōzu mean?
  14. Does anyone know how to convert my auto ke70 to?
  15. Check the 4age manual i reckon. Persumably the short all go on one side, and the long all go on the other side. Or can you check the bolt hole depth in the head?
  16. yeah i rememebr watching a young kid doing my wheels on my corolla SSR wheels, I thought it looked wrong the way he was doing it, and luckily the boss saw him before he got too far into the job, and sorted him out before he persumably damaged the wheels. Can you explain what needs to be done? id like to know what he was doing wrong.
  17. Hi mate, nice car, and look forward to seeing conversion pics. We actually have a members rides section where you can document your conversion and use it as a bit of a blog. So ive moved this thread there for you to keep updating.
  18. haha yeah i had a guy ask me to drop off free stuff once too.....at the gold coast! Matt, if you don't laugh, you'll end up crying.

what is a new starter motor worth? I got mine rebuilt for around $150, same with my alterntor.
  20. sounds like it.... You can see the weld in this picture. And you can see the top half is differnet to the bottom half.
  21. Looks like you are doing a great job. I do love the light blue colour, and those wheels set it off nicely. What size tyres did you go for?
  22. got any photos? Essentially for ke70s n australia there is the slanty front, and the flat front. which use different bumpers and the steel bit is different also. (there is also the panel van which uses a different bumper again, not sure if the steel is different though)
  23. haha what a good day that was! i like drives. id bring the wifes ae112....but the wrx is more fun in the twisties!
  24. This is awesome.

get the biggest triflow muffler you can fit installed. it wont make much difference to performance i reckon, but even if it does, your sanity will be saved on long drives....and by long drives i mean any sort of constant speed:P
