  1. Out of curiousity were all these HP figures at the same RPM?
  2. I don't belive you. I got so frustrated reading it again, i edited it for you. I also added much grammar.
  3. WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING AT US? I found it difficult to take shouting seriously. Please add a price. You can say you are intersted in swaps but you must add a price as per the rules.

Didnt you say you had holes in your exhaust? any holes will add oxygen. adding oxygen will mean the o2 sensor picks it up and you will read lean.
  5. Very cool mate! I might not comment much, but i enjoy your updates! That "hoot" noise from your engine is a bit strange though, that was starting to annoy me just from the video!
  6. my mate slammed his ae86 into a gutter once, during a...er.....incident. Bent the wheel and the panhard rod. Swapped the wheel on the side of the road, and undid the panhard rod rod and bent it back using the gutter. Good as new! If the car is lowered, a bit of a bend may help to keep the diff centred though ;)
  7. Shock absorber length really Is the key to captive springs.
  8. whatever you pick make sure its good paint and it is done well. we painted an engine bay with cheap paint once, and did an ordinary job. looked great UNTIL we started working on the engine. All the paint started chipping off in places and it began looking very tacky....
  9. I think with oil temperatures you are looking for trends. If the oil normally sits at 100deg C, then id start to worry if it was 120-130+ Similarly for oil pressure, once you figure out the normal pressure, just start to worry if you see anything drastically different.
  10. Is the jerking problem related to the TPS you need to replace? ie, why are you replacing the TPS?
  11. awesome!
  12. Have you been to the wreckers? and if so how many different types of cars did you pull the drum brake off and compare the spring? Many cars still come with drum brakes, cheap hyundais etc. One of them is bound to fit without too much trouble.
  13. I gave up giving free stuff away, goes in the bin these days:p
  14. You see that one with the ae86 N2 body kit?
  15. looking good mate. Great idea on that "manifold". As for the airbox, I'm not entirely sure what you are proposing. Do you have a sketch of what you are thinking of? Ive done a smallish amount of fibreglassing, and i was looking for excuses to have another go at it...
  16. I had alot of trouble getting mine off without damage. I ended up damaging half of them, and then had to go to the wreckers and all my trim was never the same again... The worst was the gutter ones, as the "chrome" was easily damaged (half of mine flaked offf....)
  17. the t18 bumpers don't fit that great though. If i did it again id pay for proper ones (even though they might be knock offs). Least they will fit properly.
  18. I'm going to head out there on saturday, catch a few passenger rides with some mates hopefully. and ill take the camera for a few happy snaps. you gonna head out Rian?
  19. Your new headgasket should give you instructions too. if i recall correctly it was an initial torque setting followed by a rotation setting. ie, X nM then X degrees of rotation.
  20. I had to get the local machine shop to machine a spacer for when i used JIC camber tops with KYB shocks and some random coilover spring kit. Essentially it was pretty much the same as using a few washers, just a little neater i guess.
  21. I personally would just put it down to a faulty cat convertor. If it has been dropped between the factory it was made in and your car, then that would explain it. esepcially being ceramic, ceramic is brittle. The cat i bought for my car was a "high flow" item from the exhaust shop. it was around $200. where the non high flow was 140ish i think.
  22. oh man, thats not good:(
  23. That question directed at me? (wasnt sure as my post was quite unhelpful :P) I hadnt even heard of shear free, but penrite website sais "SHEAR FREE formulation reduces viscosity loss" and "SHEAR FREE modern engine oil. It contains an anti-wear package of engine wear protection with *FULL ZINC + (exceeding 2200+ ppm levels) for ultimate engine wear protection." I thought the whole name of the game for oil companies was to reduce viscosity and decrease engine wear loss over the life of the oil. Sounds like marketing to me.
  24. It does look pretty good, but its not 9k good.
  25. You really should be buying that gold leaf infused stuff.
