yeah any FWD car will have a simliar switch, it just turns on a X degC, and turns off again once the temp gets below. And all it does is ground the wire on the sensor when its off? (either way its designed so that if the sensor is buggered the fan will stay on) I found a catalogue once that had all the different temperature ranges for each car. not sure where that was, was years ago. I bougth a controller thing for my thermo fan back in the day (some sort of jaycar kit, can't seem to find it atm), it was kinda cool in that you could adjust the turn on temp, and the turn off temp. and adjust the histeresis so it didnt go on and off all the time. Reality is, i set it to about 82 deg. and never touched it again. So just go the ae82/FWD sensor route. The best kind of insurance when it comes to water temp is a decent reliable temperature guage. So you can actually see whats happening!

Engine Swap Of Corona 82 Saloon With A 3A(1.5Ltr) Engine

Isnt that a corona? whats it doing with a 3a? wait a second, what country do you live in? -
Ufortunately its only worth what someone is willing to pay, and you have to be pretty damn keen to buy a rusted shell. unless it has a very specific repair section that you want. at which case I'm more likely to come to your house with an angle grinder, than buy the entire shell! How do you even move a non rolling shell?

I put a 3k carby on my old 4k. I'm not convinced the standard 3k carby and/or carby jets can supply enough fuel for a 4k. Mine was soooo slow. Howe ever it didnt use much petrol! Perhaps it might be worth swapping in the jets out of a 4k carby into the 3k carby, its essentially the same carby so shoudl bolt in no worries. i was going to do this, but i fixed the 4k with a 4age.

how about something like this http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=LR8834 You will probably have to get creative on how you install it.

Littleredspirit might chime in. He has had extensive experience tuning his silvertop 20V, which is pretty silmiar to what yours will become once you put the quads onto the bigport.

yeah but look at the audio quattro. 5crl and 4.5 of them are in front of the strut towers. And its been quite successfull! a V6 is only 3 and a bit cylinders long remember, so if you have the sidways room, they tend to fit nicely and have most of the weight towards the rear of engine bay.

If you do this you will loose rebound and probably lose some bump travel as well.. You coudl get around this by getting longer stroke shocks. You are probably better off with a longer spring though?

http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=40475 there is some information in here. Essentailly what i have done in the past, the TPS is held on with 2 screws, and if you loosen them, you can spin the tps in its position, this is the "Adjustment" So get your engine running, and start spinnig the TPS around (slowly...) , you will notice that there is a point where the engine tone changes, the TPS has an "idle switch", and the ecu does something differnt, not sure what it is. but you want it to be in idle mode ....at idle!. its quite possibly the case already (given that it recently dropped from ~1500 rpm to ~600rpm), perhaps the tps has recently moved by itself, and perhaps all you need to do is adjust your idle? which is a screw somewhere around the throttle body. If the engine drives alright, and you don't get any fault codes in your ecu, perhaps try adjusting your idle first? and make sure the TPS is tight.

geez thats a nice ae86.

What is that! i want it.

where would you get a wide band sensor from a wrecker though? you're probably better off buying a proper wide band guage and sensor with included brand new wide band o2 sensor. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Innovate-3801-Motorsports-G2-Air-Fuel-Ratio-Gauge-plus-LC-1-Wide-Band-Kit-Tune-/151063094367?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item232c0fe45f ive used that one before, works good. and you can plug it into a computer if you want to log it. (we used it on megasquirt ecu)

lean mixture could definatly cause detonation. I would be getting the tune sorted out before touching anything else in the engine.

Got a timing light? if not get one as they diagnise timing issues very quickly.

My favourite one is when they take a photo when it is covered in soap suds. "Heres proof that i washed it, and the soap suds and water don't show up my fading paint!"

Surely it can't beat the Bon Jovi Edition? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Golf_Mk3

Which other 4clrs were you racing to smoke them with a 4afe?

TV's are great. Commercial TV stations, are the devil. I HATE advertisements on commercial TV. To the point where no matter who's house i am in, i will mute the adverts every commercial break. and unless there is something very specific i want to watch on TV, it doesnt get turned on. Wife on the other hand....happy to sit there with advertisements blasting at full volume all day. So i just reside to the study and put headphones on. She hates it when i put headphones on. And never put a TV in a bedroom. Invitation to be lazy and a slob :P

early model 4ages = 3 wire distributer (single pickup i think), with a round plug later model (ie yours) = 4 wires (double pickup?) with a square plug. The years sound like it will match up, but youd want to check it has thje right number of wires/pickups. from what i can see the plug looks more square than round, but hard to be sure. where can you buy it? and how much does it cost?

In my very very limited experience with cars on dirt, everything i experienced suggested that tyre pressures made the biggest difference over everything. Perhaps try dropping the front pressure and raising the rear a bit?
-
Where did this info come from? Brake system maybe, but certainly you shoudlnt need the rear axel to be the same.

How many cars are at that house?!?!?! living the dream.
