  1. considered welding in a panhard rod? i don't like leaf springs for this reason, no real way of fine tuning the centreing of the diff:S
  2. In my limited experience, it seems that "stiffness" is all about the shocks. perhaps try stiffening up the spring too see if you like it, but you might be better off going for some custom built shocks? Go to a race or rally suspension mob and tell them your requirements and see what they can offer?
  3. http://clubroadster.net/vb_forum/32-brakes-wheels-tires-sponsored-jscspeed-com/34646-star-sharks-techno-phantom.html sais in there that they can be identified by weather they are 1 peice of multi peice?
  4. what happened with the lights?
  5. get a load of this thing http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=8&R=13308220&keywords=&trecs=9&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__sid=13AE562DC1A5&__Nne=15&__Qpb=1&seot=1&__N=834
  6. what sort of 4age is that? smallport? The bigport has a few different distributers with different distributer caps. there is another cap that has all the wires sticking straight out the side. Thats a pretty sweet set of extractors, looks cool as!
  7. There is a few big earths down the front somewhere that are usually bolted to chassis somewhere, i recall one of them having somethign to do with headlights. i un did mine once, forgot to put it back on, crazy things happened. Grab a wiring diagram for the headlights, should be able to figure it out from that?
  8. Very nice mate. I got married 4 weeks ago, the last week is hektic no matter how organised you think you are :P simliar story for us, had all the big stuff sorted within a few weeks of engaged. its all the little things that take the rest of the time.....
  9. yeah i guess i wasnt clear. There are lots of brands out there that make oem replacememnts, exedy being one of them. like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EXEDY-CLUTCH-KIT-TOYOTA-COROLLA-1-3-4K-KE70-79-87-/330528978277?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf50ff565 just find one in ausi perhaps.
  10. it was looking so good untill i saw that auto :( I have one of these in manual, just the ae112. it looks to already have a decent set of extractors from OEM, 4-2-1 design
  11. are you sure its ae92 and ae86. if so they are very different, ae92 is FWD, ae86 is RWD! do you mean ae92 and ae82?
  12. for what car exactly? I assume 4k based on your previous topics. pretty much any oem replacement will do you fine. I've not had any dramas with Exedy. I had an Exedy heavy duty and it was pretty good, no worries with daily driving with it, made it easy to chirp tyres too!
  13. Driving along the gatway motorway last night (4 lanes, brand new road), they now have (well have had for a while) these speed signs on LED screens, so they can change the speed whenever they want. Driving home at around 930pm last night, i pull off mt gravat capalaba road onto motorway, give it a bit on the onramp (up to 80-90), only to be confronted by a flashing LED sign of 60km/h, next one (~500m down the road) sais 40km/h. I like my license, and know this is a perfect opportunity for a policeman to be sitting there i drop down to about 45-48km/h. Meenwhile i have people swerving around me, flashing their high beams, beeping horns at me (and others who are "doing the right thing"). I came VERY close to being run up the back by an impatient commondore who was weaving through the cars at about 100.... Turns out this 40km/h went on for about 5km, where there was some road work. where the centre lane was closed, and we all had to go around on both sides (4 lanes remember). It was a man painting lines with one of those hand held things. then the 40km/h continued on for another 3km after!!!! so total of 8km of 40km/h speedlimit for about 100m worth of roadwork. Now i am all for keeping road workers safe, and yes 40km/h is a good idea around people that are working. but 5km before, and 3km after???? i think not. These new LED signs have given them too much power to change the speed whenever they want........ And its like they are too lazy to make a small section of the road lower limit, so they just flick all the signs to 40km/h and be done with it!
  14. well if you are using the standard ecu why not just use the standard injectors and block up the holes where the 20v injectors go in the throttle bodies? I'm not convinced it will work that good, but give it a go, i think some people have had success.
  15. What ecu do you intend to run all this with?
  16. try that disk managemnet thing. it might be there, you just need to assign a drive letter to it.
  17. is it in FAT32 not NTFS? i think it still should recognise? oh in win7, you gotta go to the "disk management" and add it in. http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/windows-7-recognize-hard-drive/
  18. The htc one x l is gorilla glass as well :S
  19. well the first time it slipped out of my hand from about 1m high onto concrete.... so yeah thats fair enough. but the second time this morning, i was sitting on the stage at before church (carpetted), and the phone rang during discussion, so i quickly shut it up, and sorta flipped it over whilst sliding it maybe 30cm...turned it back over, cracked....LAME! and nope, no case, been on the list of "things to buy" for a few weeks now.
  20. i like it! whats that gear knob off? thats cool.
  21. got a htc one x l about 3 months ago. brilliant phone, really really good..... smashed it about 1 month ago, didnt have any cash to fix it for a few weeks so i just went back to old phone. Got it fixed about 2 weeks ago at the very expensive cost of $240. just smashed it again.....
  22. Ben, Leo (its audm yo), is the guy I said I had sorta helped recently, with all his dramas he is an expert now!
  23. nice choice, i has an ae112.
  24. yeah the older radiators are all metal, not plastic end tanks. much much MMUUUCCH better, but they cost heaps to buy and cost heaps to fix.
