  1. that aint no sway bar. that some brace thing they put between the castor arms. http://www.ultraracingaustralia.com.au/index.php?categoryid=15&p2_articleid=32 "front lower brace" in the above link.
  2. Hah the wife gets her photo on rollaclub, can only see a bit of my red shirt :( That was a good day!
  3. Just tone the looks down a bit.
  4. 15th sounds like a win. I bet it will be freakin hot, pack the coolant boys :P
  5. We need a body to keep us all in check, provide and enforce general rules else the place would be chaos. What we don't need is a group of people that sit in a room, yell and scream at one another about aboslute rubbish, bicker and carry one like school children argueing over play dough. Ive watched question time, and i can't put my trust in any of them with the way they behave. There doesnt appear to be any sort of discussion or debate, it is constant personal attacks, bringing up 10yr old off the cuff comments which as far as i can tell are generally completely irrelelevent and just used as more fuel for the fire. Not to mentino when any of them are asked a question on TV/news, they never answer the question, usually they manage to turn it around and abuse the opposite party in some way. its just pathetic!
  6. Which adjustable ones be this?
  7. I would be planning for a worst case scenario on that weld....epic amounts of fatigue loading on a swaw bar. Perhaps an alloy under tray on the car,So if that weld breaks you might have a chance of not pole vaulting your car off the road :P
  8. This is very interesting http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/at-the-garage/steam-cars/1907-white-steam-car-30-hp/#item=119618
  9. One designed for a 4ac! what you trying to do? Repco will sell you a belt to suit if you tell them its for a 4ac (or a 1984 corolla with a 1.6L engine code 4ac)
  10. yeah i bought a OCZ vertex 4, it was $98 for 128gb (pluss $12 for the stupid adaptor bracket) the cheapest smallest traditional driver was a hitachi 500gb for about $60 or so. figured they will never use 128gb, let alone 500gb, so for 40bucks more will give it a go. I think a vertex 4 is going on my christmas list :P apparnetly OCZ had some issues with the controller on them previously, but they seem to have sorted that out in the newer models.
  11. I would defiantely look at putting the exhaust on before doing doing any more diagnisis as well. Then you are trying to tune the car how its going to drive, or you might get it to idle with the exhaust off, and find it wont idle with the exhaust on!t
  12. is that ae86 AWD?!?!
  13. It's not the cops you gotta worry about. I'ts those department of transport cars (in QLD), the purple light brigade. Though i am yet to be pulled over by one, came close once....but got waved through the defect station.
  14. building parents new PC, pretty low of the range AMD chip (still damn fast), but i bought my first SSD drive. hot damn, its fast. I need one of these.
  15. Hmm the ae112 or the wrx.....one fits in more, one is more fun.....
  16. oooOOOoooo. take me for a spin?
  17. Excessive Unsprung weight is bad!
  18. Not as sad as that poor girl in the gold coast. I don't know the details, but talk about a waste of a life.
  19. I can't really see how reliability is even a factor in the choice. Any diff will be reliable if its well maintained, and any diff will be unreliable if it is neglected. What size and type of tyre do you intend on running? the ke30 is a light car, very light. so you don't need big monstrous machinery to propel it well. even an R31 skyline diff is a good choice for the ke30. comes with discs too, its a bigger diff, but its not too big. Whats a 9" diff from? don't they put those in muscle cars wth huge v8s?
  20. Wowzer, well done. i like the look of that dyno curve.
  21. I'm fairly sure, being sunday mornings (church) I'm out for those 2 days, ill double check though, kids might be off school by then. (i teach the kids)
  22. I'm seeing alot of "replica".
  23. haha. Well its not toyota. I'ts a 1986 Holden drover, which is a badge engineered SJ50? Suzuki sierra. It was my grandpas (hes just been told hes not able to drive anymore :( ), he bought it new in 1986, its done 127,000kms, never been offroad, always lived in the garage and not a spot of rust. metalic grey colour. They were just going to get rid of it, but i can't let that happen to such a good car, and i think it will be nice to get it back into good condition and get some use out of it. Grandpa will like that. It needs a fair amount of maintenance work done to it (new rubber kit for doors, new oils everywhere, brakes i suspect will need an overhaul, there is an epic oil leak from somewhere, front diff seals are had it, timing belt/water pump). few hundred bucks and a few days work will get it going. Plan is to get it back onto the road with some better tyres and maybe a snorkel thingo, and take it camping/4wd'ing. A fraser island weeks holiday is in its initial planning stages...
  24. I may have just aquired a new project car :)
