  1. How large were the ports in the lynx manifold on head side ?
  2. Ok, that explains it. Ask them  http://www.spoolimports.com/default.htm First hand info is always the best. Fairly sure your mates cat rods will suit a 4E
  3. Spool are planing to make for 5k wich are same as 4k. Guess around Aus $550 a set so cheaper than any other makes that I know of. If you are going to spend that kind of money why not start with a 5K?
  4. Checked their home page earlier today. still listed as "soon to come".
  5. I'm guessing here but think hes got some CAT forged rods then. They state in their catalog the rods are for 3k-4k but measurements are wrong. My guess is they`re for 4e. http://www.catpep.com/searchengine/searche...amp;parttype=43 Seen them advertised on ebay as 3k-4k rods as well  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOTA1-2-1...sQ5fAccessories
  6. 16 valve 2tg at 1.15 http://motormavens.com/tag/hannu-mikkola/
  7. 18mm pin
  8. Someone a bit more fluent than me should write a nice letter to http://www.billbuckle.com.au/toyota/ asking if they have kept any info on them.
  9. :jamie: Great find. When was this ?
  10. Yes, realy looking forward to that :lolcry: Theres at least 4 ways to go for twin carbs. dcoe style, idf style, sus and aisin carb style. Each require different manifolds. When you choose , youll need to look at what you got room for (lhd) , how much $ and work you want to spend and what kind of an upgrade your after \ other engine mods. IMO unless you`re building something serious with a big cam, a small single weber dcd or dgav and an adaptorplate is probably the best bang for buck Spend some money on it for tuning to get decent driveability and gains
  11. There`s a Malaysian called "bullitt" advertising them on kp61.net for us$ 220 shipped worldwide. Had heaps available. Looks like hydro ones. Think he`s on the 3tc and ke70 forums as well ;) They can be bought new off the shelf in Finland as well, at a different price though.
  12. Yep, got one of those. Come around and bend your pipes any time you like :lolcry: Hope you find something closer though ;)
  13. Looks like a god setup / upgrade. Couple of things Id do diffrently though. MB Id go for a ta22 item as it would suit the calipers and cylinders. don't go to big as it will give you a hard pedal with no feel Diff: If you go T diff you will need a coustomised tailshaft as well. Might cost a bit. (shortened and balanced- tailshaftflange to suit diff..) as for stainless steel lines , they made a huge improvement on my bike brakes. Much firmer. Poly bushes make a big difference to handeling as well. Worth it to get a wheelalignment when your finished with your steering and suspention mods as well If you use a 4k flywheel and clutch, thats about 2kg lighter than the 5k stuff . Good luck on your mods -
  14. Not all 4Ks can be bored that much . Blocks become too thin Another difference is the size of lifter bores.
  15. yes, there`s 2 different 4k heads and 2 different 5k heads Twin squish 4k head (as in 4k-u amongst others) are the same as most 5k heads. These have slightly larger ports than the regular "flat top piston" 4K heads, way smaler combustion chambers, and use shorter pushrods
  16. If you want to use the 4kc head just put some flat top pistons in the 4ku block and like rollaboy70 said use 4kc pushrods
  17. Just read an article in a old magazine on a TTE te37 rally corolla. Had similar leafsprung rearend to the ke3x to begin with. Here`s how they moded the rear suspention: kept the leaves. Made paralell , equal length 24" 4link rods . bilstein shocks all around , moved rear shocks to outboard turrets angeled to point at rear tyre contact patch. Apperantly this sorted the axle tramp and it handeled very well Engine was a schnitzer 16 valve 2tg built for TTE 175hp so stronger than most 4ages and the lsd diff came from a ta22 gt. Ta22 diffs are simular in with to the ke3xs so should be a good starting point.
  18. Good plan :y: Think colapsable ones are compulsary for trackuse here though. don't know if ke20 shafts would go in.. Agree with keeping it original/period though. Thats what I'm trying to do with my KEs as well
  19. Looks great at speed as well. Have you done anything about the non collapsable steering column shaft?
  20. conserned I think hehe. Done any racing with the red 17? Using stock diff and k50 ? Have seen the project thread on it but not details what its "made of" Mean collection you got. Must have been a tuff decition to let the ke18 go..
  21. Yea, low blow. Youll probably find what your looking for in the rides section
  22. No, I don't know, just assuming.
  23. Have a look here for bore- strokes http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...K_Series/Blocks If you bore a 2k to 75mm youll get a K block by the looks of it. longer stroke means taller block unless you find a compatible piston with a lower pin height. So no, not all k blocks are the same
  24. Not realy into autos but did you loose any gearoil when doing the swap? Could be a good time to give it a oilchange..
  25. yep, 1kg x 1meter is about 10nm, but to get 20nm you`ll need a 2meter arm if youre using 1kg :D
