  1. Think you got the zenki (early)small bearing / kouki (late) wide bearing thing mixed up there Sid. If the diff came from an T18 it will be an early one
  2. Done a classic ... Dismantaled ages ago . These have a couple extra springs and I don't remember how it was assembled. So instead of messing about, anyone care to post a pic or drawing? Cheers.
  3. Not something I know but got a feeling that step could be causing some mischief
  4. Good to see you got it going Keith Just curious, since the manifold is for hs4 and you got hs2 carbs, did you fill in manifold for port matching ?
  5. If the front came of a Grande , the Kingswood rear is a huge upgrade imo. Havent seen as many holdens as you guys so not sick of them. Looks like a quality build & kind of like it.
  6. Use a strip of cloth/ rag . Slide it between winder and trim. Wiggle it about a bit and the clip should ccme off
  7. Looks more like the 16 valve TTE vertion of the 2tg to me :P http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/1616/scan0001cu.jpg http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/8348/scan0002p.png http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/8092/scan0001v.png

  12. GASKET, INTAKE TO EXHAUST MANIFOLD 17171-13040 Clean the inlet manifold hotbox for soot buildup while you got them apart and use new bolts when putting back :)
  13. No, not by a log shot . The thing about twin dcoe is that you get independent throttles to each cylinder so you can run a big cam with overlap (long duration) without getting revertion problems. Your setup will be more of a 3k-b thing. One carb feeding cyl.1+2 and other one feeding 3+4 isnt ideal either. A crossover manifold feeding 1+4 and 2+3 would be better but don't see how on a K. If you want twin down draught carbs with similar potential to dcoe Id look for idf style carbs. Have seen maifolds for them but rare. Would be fairly tall as well... na, stick to the single downdraught unless youre chasing big hp. Just my 2c and I'm no expert. By the way, what else have you done to the 5k ?
  14. Check out http://www.3tcgarage.com/ like seabiscuit mentioned. Youll find that heaps of "gofast" parts are available for these engines in the US. Strong engines with lots of potential.
  15. :) Forgot to add the link .. http://www.esapeltonen.fi/
  16. Ive got a alu 3zzfe my 01 rolla.. not much to see :) Would be entertaining in a ke1x though. Weighs about the same as a K Click the english flag for some Finish K engine and parts prices . They take around 180hp out of their 5k rally starlets .Usually vertical ITBs
  17. don't know how the pedders ones are so can't compare but these are decent : kyb excel G 363018
  18. From the Whiteline site : "WHITELINE has its roots in the original Selbys Steering and Suspension company, started in the early 1960’s making sway bars. WHITELINE purchased the sway bar manufacturing division and retained the Selby’s Swaybars brand continuing a proud 30 year history."
  19. I'm no carb expert but didnt think those had loose venturis like the dcd. Are you sure he didnt mean the throttle shafts and bushes?
  20. Have seen "straight shank lug nut" used for them. Thread will be 12x1.5mm but you will need to measure the diameter iof hole in your wheel as they come in different sizes
  21. I'm using Toyo proxes 175-60-13 on my ke17. Close to same height as the stock 12"s and wide enough for the lite car imo
  22. The 20spline box can be used with the 4A bellhousing, but its got a smaler inputshaft bearing so needs a spacer ring to locate bearing in 4a bell. If not youll have the problems demuire was having
  23. Cheers
  24. Should be easy to find someone who will swap as your tailhousing is rarer. Just remember : shifter goes with tailhousing
  25. Just a heads up on the k50. Looks like its out of a ke35 / 55 Shifter is a bit far forward for the ke70. one like this will fit. http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/tq/17/116467717.jpg Tailhousing and shifter from a ke70 k50 will fit your box.
