  3. according to K-series repair manual its: rub block gap to be set at 0.45mm / dwell angle 52 +-6 deg
  4. If your "gts" is rwd the 4age convertion should be fairly simple and reliable ,if you keep it stockish
  5. Heres a 7k tuned to around 150 hp & 200+ nm. Owner recons its got potensial of close to 200hp. As you see its not cheap. 6500 euro. Budget probably limits output of most builds http://www.nettivaraosa.com/kilpa-autoilu/976745 Think you got room for a T-series gearbox since you got a original autobox body but thats just internet info. Best to PM some 7k-ke1# owners on here
  6. Definatly worthwile if you want to reduce highway revs. Multiply whatever revs you had before in 4th by 0.865 and you got your answer
  7. Nothing will look better than a cleaned upp K in it IMO
  8. So is ke11 screens same as ke17 ones?
  9. battery minus to carbody to engineblock + one from bellhousing to carbody
  10. Does your fork and hub look like these ? http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_E_1985_TOYOTA_COROLLA_AE86L-ECMQF_3101.html
  11. Understandable . Just saw a newsstory with some interviews from Grantham .. was hit hard by the looks of it. Natures forces can be scary. Kind of stuff that puts things in perspective. Feel with you guys and gals
  12. 2 - All The Car Colour
  13. Yes , or front half driveshaft of whatever car it was in. But Id check the box - could be a mixed breed :rolls:
  14. check splines count. Your Ke driveshaft has 20 splines and a A-t50 has 22. Ask seller if he has a driveshaft to go with the box. Making a decent coustom one costs.
  15. Wiring diagram if it helps Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  16. almost 70`s and within 600 miles? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Corolla-1980-4-door-sedan-1-8-liter-3TC-engine-/190476831097?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2c594dc979
  17. Could be a T50 if the bellhousing can be seperated from (is bolted to) the gearbox K50 bellhousings are cast onto gearboxes
  18. Just for weight loss. Oil level is well below crank. Eaisier / cheaper done by lightening flywheel if nesesary Better to spend $ on conrods like Taz Rx said. Belived to be weakest link
  19. sounds like the dished piston 4k/5k heads with smal combustion chambers?
  20. My ta22 diff is 4.1
  21. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=26118&st=0&p=298861&fromsearch=1entry298861 km36 came with a ballast resistor coil but unlike ke3# resistors it only dropped the voltage to 11 volts Not saying that running without a resistor will definatly damage anything (obviously not since some of you are succsessfully using them) but risk of frying the stock ignitor is higher when not using resistor or when using high effect coil.
  22. Whiteline 5,25kg front springs + swaybar , Kyb gas shocks front and rear, nolathane poly bushes all around. Check all balljoints for wear and renew where nessecary. Get wheel angles adjusted and put on some decent tires. Makes it firm but not harsh. Just a suggestion, works for me.
  23. Got to disagree on that one :no2: its a Amazon 121 estate- Duett 210 are even cooler IMO (van and estate vertions of the PV)
  24. doubt it will help you but some of the Te37s had T-diffs.. don't think any other shafts will be a direct fit
