  1. check Felixs tips on using Ke2/3 inserts: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/7224-ke11-suspension/ Say clear of Te inserts as they will be too thick for the ke1 strut tube
  2. "rockauto " is cheap and got most of 3T parts
  3. struts, pedalbox, brakes, hydro clutch mastercyl. driveshaft and diff are different as well if you want to get it close to autentic
  4. I probably got the clusters from the same car you got the crossmember off ..
  5. Some came with 2tg from new - search for TE37.
  6. Te 31s use the same as carina ta10-14, wich is mechanically very similar to the ta22s so educated guess would be that the ta22 brackets will fit
  7. not due to choise of gearbox but due to nose of a T diff sticks further forward than a ke 70 U-diff. ( don't know about the aussie borg warner stuff but should be measured)
  8. a ta22 diff is about 5cm narrower than a ke70 diff. Drive shaft will need to be shortened a bit as well Ta22s came with 6.62" D and 6.7" T diffs. The T diff will be same strengh as a zenki AE86 T-diff and weaker than a kouki AE86 T-diff Belive some AE86s came with the weaker 6.3" S-diff as well. Wear and tear, previous abuse / maintenance and setup of the diff will also be factors of how strong the diff is.
  9. I wish.. Once bought what was supposed to be a ta22 t50, turned out to be a ta40 t40 :( - learned
  10. shifter position is wrong for a ta22 so something newer like a t18. don't know what else you got with T series 20 spline t50s are good for direct fitting of K series drive shafts
  11. Pretty simular stuff.. is your car LHD or RHD, electronic or points dizzy ? Got a spesific problem with it ?
  12. Cheers. Saw some 850 pistons with 18mm pins but they were meant for carillo rods.. expensive stuff sounds like theyre a bit high as well
  13. do you remember pin height and pin diameter of stock norton 850 pistons?
  14. if its got an auto, driveshaft yoke probably wont fit. Might be able to swap over the yoke from ke55 by renewing front uni joint Will need a ke7 k50 gearbox crossmember as well. ... remember putting a spigot bearing in flywheel and bypassing neutral switch. pedalboxes /clutchwire not the same Better of finding a Ke7 donor
  15. Sounds like it could do with a bit of fiddeling. Crappy wiering can cause your pride and joy to go upp in flames
  16. Tailhousings / gearboxes are the same length, ke30 ones just appear to be shorter due shifter position is further forward. That means you can use your old driveshaft with it. If you already have a 5speed in your ke70 you can just switch the tailhousing with shifters over. If not, you will need tailhousing with shifter from a ke70 unless you want to cut a shifterhole 10cm further forward
  17. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1278334,parttype,10524
  18. will bolt on but likely to need portmatching. Depends what 7k you got .7kc - round ports , 7ke oval ports Also depends what manifold you got - theres a few options. Just get your tools out and find out what you got
  19. yea, like the te7 hardtops . Never seen one live as we didnt get them Will take a decent budget to restore that thing . Spotted this while browsing http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C268000
  20. sounds like youre all set then :D . Could be a good idea to do a good flush of the housig before instaling new one
  21. Most TE3s had S series diffs. So did some of the TE7s. Does the diffhead flange have 8 or 10 bolts ? Also, measure distance (in millimeters :P) between middle of rear driveshaft flanges and middle of diffheadflanges and we can tell you what diff series you got.
  22. aparantly not. Would need an adaptor
  23. Your T50 is newer than his. Before 82/83 was 20 spline and later was 22 spline. don't know date. There`s internal differences as well. Easiest to sell or trade yours for a 20 spline. Yours should be worth most The 22 spline yokes Ive seen don't fit 20 spine axels UJ joint got different width On many 22 spline yokes UJ joints are staked in place rather than circlipped as well.. You could get lucky tho , Ive far from seen it all
  24. 2Y is 78mm? stroke and 7K 87.5mm so doesnt make sense.. Have heard of modified 4Y crank (86mm stroke?)in 3T tho.
  25. They might need this info on sender unit : Float position full = 3 ohm +- 2ohm Float position half= 32.5 ohm +- 5ohm Float position empty = 110 ohm +- 8 ohm
