  1. try spraying sensor hole with penetrating oil (wd40 , crc 5-56 or similar)
  2. 7ke and 7kc have different port shapes of manifold & head so not a good match as is. If using a different ecu than original, I belive you need to use a programable aftermarket ecu
  3. Didnt mean ring gears.. I meant the thin sandwich plate that goes between the gearbox and engineblock. It comes in at least two different thicknesses. Should be ok if you used the one from your original 3k auto setupp
  4. don't know if possible or what it looks like, but if flexplate is dished and flipped it could also cause the converter to be in the wrong place
  5. How far forward converter goes on shaft would depend on thickness of plate between bellhousing and block. don't know if it matters tho. Could be different thickness of 3k / 4k plate
  6. LHD cables are a fair bit longer as they go from LH pedals over to right side and thrugh firewall in same pos. as rhd cars
  7. You can get kits for modifing dellortos for boost applications. Mounting depends what kind of twin dellortos you got. DRLA : downdrafts : vertical DHLA : sidedrafts : horizontal
  8. Best read in ages . Cheers Keith
  9. Yea,7k-e is dual outlet but with a very short 2-1 section. Bought one of those sections once.Original toyota but realy bad craftmanship. Huge overlaps of pipes internally
  10. 9mm further to one side than the other,or 9mm higher on one side than the other? Have you had the springs or shackles out or renewed any bushes? Are the U bolts in the same spot as before?
  11. rounding / smoothing the lower edge inside the manifold wont harm

  14. Sorry, my mistake, meant pcv - positive crankcase ventilation valve. Oneway valve between valve cover and plate under carb... ke1# might not have them tho.
  15. Just had a similar issue on my 4k. Turned out to be a vacuum leak on inlet gaskets. To test, get a can of startgas and spray around inlet manifold flanges while its ideling, If revs increase when youre spraying, youve probably got a leak. Check for rotten vacuum hoses and ptc valve as well
  16. check for signs of oil leaks from rear crank seal and gearbox input shaft seal while the box is off and replace if nessesary. I`d renew spigot and clutch release bearings as well . Agree with the feel method for centering
  17. Sounds interesting
  18. 4k lifters in 5k wont work http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Tech:Engine/K_Series/5K-C/5K_Hydraulic_To_Solid_Lifter_Conversion or if staying hydro get some coustom pushrods Monday? find a spare running K and drop in while you get the 5k sorted
  19. measure center hub hole at the back of the rim. don't remember exact measurements but toyotas and mazdas are different
  20. suggest you get the inlet manifold that goes with it as from what Ive seen 4k flat top heads have smaler ports than D dish heads
  21. + some 82s as long as its t40/50
  22. UK based Kentcams make fully adjutable timing gears for Ks. don't know if anyone sells them in Aus
  23. Belive rn41 diffs are 1410mm wide so same width as #e70 diff? worth to measure. A complete W50 could be usefull - keep driveshaft and clutch master as well
  24. or rockauto
  25. No problem finding a k-t bell. Just mail or pm Megat. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/57098-fs-reproduction-fiberglass-te37-sr5-fender-flare/ $220 ish shipped world wide- used to be anyway. Direct bolt in swap for your a-t bell . Can probably get a decent price for the a-t when you sell it. If you want shifter in original position, use ta22 extesion housing, shiftfork shafts and shifter How to : http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conversions/52186-changing-shifter-position-t50.html
