  2. 87 would make it a km36 witch had 5k. Thats if it has a K engine. 1.8 would be a 2y unless its a 1c diesel :P
  3. Hi The link in the FAQ section to the 7ke manual seems to be broken. Anyone got a copy they can mail me? Cheers, Tor.
  4. J.R made a comparison between te and ke on his homepage http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/4883/levin-trueno.html It says te3x has front 1320 and rear 1335. AS far as I know all ke3x are f1295 r1285
  5. Toyota  part no. is in the faq.
  6. I remember seeing something about this but having no luck finding the old post. Anyone?
  7. Hi. Charmants came with both 2t and 4a so a 1600 could be either one. I have seen a couple of 2t ones with auto and a 4a one with a t50 gearbox and hydro clutch. Couldn`t you get the seller to send you a picture?
  8. http://www.rollaclub.com/hosted/5K_info.pdf Heres specs for the coil you`re after.
  9. Some early ke35s (before mid 76) came with wireclutch t50. Could it be thats when they started making k50?
  10. :) Worked for me in a ke35.... don't know if a auto crossmember will suit though
  11. Great find. The rubber mount can be from any t-box I think, but the shifter must be from a forward shifter pos. one (ta22 celica) Try to track down the one that was there originally. You can probably use a k40 gearbox crossmember.
  12. Yep. 5k van. On mine the extra runner was just blanked off. Check if the manifold port sizes fit your head ports  http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb125/t..._11115k0004.jpg
  13. Credit for making an effort, but sorry mate: You got the blah blah bits wrong. Take a look at a 4k compression chamber. :o If you want to do this accuratly, measure the cc of the combustion chamber , thickness of your compressed headgasket, and calculate what comp.ratio you got. Then you calculate how many cc you need it to be for your wanted ratio. Subtract and you got how many cc you want to get rid of. Now figure out the surface area of head combustion chamber and calculate how mutch you need to shave. Shizotimang : Your lack of effort and cbf coolness is suddenly becoming contageus. Good luck to you.
  14. Once bolts are undone I`m sure you + a mate will be able to lift it out ,using a 2 by 4 and a pice of rope. They only weigh about 100k. :y: I once calculated that a 1.2mm shave gave me 10-1 comp rate on my flat pistoned 4k. Recomend you to stay well below that figure on a worn stock 4k. I wouldnt do it at all with a tired one, but thats me.
  15. Change the whole engine. Not that mutch work. By just changing the head you`ll probably be keeping the most tired bits. Shaving the head will increase the compression pressures and therby increase the blowby caused by worn rings & bores. Will also cause more strain on worn bearings ..... How mutch to shave off a head depends on what compression rate you are after, what type of 4k you got (twin squish?) , standard cam? , standard carb set up? , extractors ?, type of fuel you want to run ? .
  16. Toyota called this orange metalic (337). Not how I would describe it
  17. Does your 5k have dished or flat top pistins ?
  18. Know you didnt get them but kp61 starlets (the 4k ones) had 3.6 in manuals and 3.4 in autos. 6" u-series According to my instruction book ke17s also had 4.222 Do the ke36 axsels fit into the al25 center ? Is this borg or u-series ?
  19. 20. Had one that looked just like it on my 75 Bmw 2002. As said its a rev limiter. Was standard on the Bmw.
  21. 3 main types : Blue - green & red don't mix red with the others, turns into some sort of gel. No worries mixing green and blue but don't see any reason doing so. Blue lasts a couple of years while the others 4-5 or more. Measure freezing point to see if its still ok. Red is meant for engines with high alloy content (alloy blocks, alloy coolers ++) but can be used on others as well
  22. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...&category0= don't know if you can fit the crome strip in these though
