I have the standard borgy with its 5 speed ratio, which i think is 3.89. Its ok, but its a little hard in traffic as 60 and 100 are gut less in the gears you would use at that speed, to just maintain momentum. Just a 500 rpm increase puts you into a useable area of the rev range, if you know what I mean. Its particularly evident due to the light flywheel. Anyhow, in my opinion, having not driven the 4.1 yet, the 4.1 would be a better daily driver diff. A little bonus accelleration, and ill sit a little higher rpm at the speedlimits, so ill have some ponys with less requirement for a downshift each time. Go the 4.1, trd sells 4.77s so 4.1 is quite tall for such a revvy motor, imo. How many atmo 1.6litre engines will pull 120 in second, my commodoore couldnt do that and it was 3+ litre!

When i was up on the north side last week, tailing phatke30 thru burpengary, we passed a blue 55 or 30 sedan. Navy paint, real shiny, chromies, could be said lady from above... Did you see the car Matt? It passed us head on at the shops there. Could have sworn it was a bloke driving though...

One school holidays, my old man pranged a motorbike and broke his left ankle. The fact we were in Bedourie meant we had to drive to Charleville to get it set (the nearest doctor). He did it with no use of the clutch. It was a pretty top effort, in the Land Cruiser. Something like 6 or 7 hundred highway and dirt klms.

This is state of origin. Bugger all penalties were awarded, and the first three were very soft and in NSW favour, and in the second half. I think we all must realise that NSW definately had every opportunity to put in a better showing. Queensland deserved it, and due to the situations in the game they really had to earn it. You NSW fans may not have noticed, but rabbits actually referred to nsw with the term we, as in he is partisan to NSW. Id expect that from gus but not rabbits. QLD played as a team. Congratuations to them. I Hope that NSW don't mind copping a 56-6 scoreline in game 3. We havent had 2 games in a series up here for years, probly 2 or 3 from memory, so thats just how the schedule crumbles i guess. I'm so proud they didnt need the 2 home games to take out the series.

This might be out of left field, but how is the fuel supply, new filter, clean tank/fuel, etc.? If its not electrical, then who knows. Is it making the same power when its not missing that it always had? It might be firing fine, do you have an intermittent vacuum or compression leak? Battery terminals? How about the ground from the body to the block, is it in good order?

Swap it for a black one. ;)

I'm fairly sure you can get black anodizing done.

Looking good mate. So are you doing the full resto? Or just getting it fixed up and on the road? Or drags? What are your plans for it?

I had a weird miss in my car once. A loose wire which had broke off the condenser, was grounding itself on the body every once in a while, causing it to miss each time. It was wierd because it would be good for a bit but as you sped up it would get worse as air pushed the wire around. So have a peek around for a loose wire which might make something similar happen. Good luck.
