Sorry to nitpick but car shape is too general. People will not necessarily associate the rolla club with corollas. They go, oh you be rollin homie, and take it that way, which I'm not a fan of.

If you put washers onit, you get less of the good thread at the bottom of the hole. Clean out the holes really well before you put a bolt in, that may mean running the tap in to the hole to cut out the loctite, then blow out with an air blower and use fresh loctite. Should be fine, its just a 4k. But if you are actually going to spend money on it, then get a better crank put in the rebuilt motor.

Just had word that my car is being finished off at the moment at the shop. Should have it back in a week or two with the full exhaust, cage, mod plates, tailshaft, boot floor repaired and all the rust gone. I'm so ʞ©$ɟing excited! I have bought a pair of side skirts for it as well, as I intend to run a lip and it will bring it down to a similar level, plus I think 86s' look naked without them.

They traded an F100 ford pickup for $2600, says it at the bottom. So they paid and F100 plus another nearly 9 grand all up. It had the Wynns rust protection which was the same as every rusty shit ke70 or ae71 Ive owned. Seems they lasted longer with Waxoil or no protection added.

Just thought Id share a document I found in a car I stripped years ago. It was a White AE71 manual with a spirit wing and lots of rust. It shows the price they paid, which was a lot! It also shows the spirit wing for $61 brand new as a dealer option. I also have a rwc inspection sheet from the same car that lists it as being rusty in 1987. So basically like we always say, it comes factory with rust.

Helper springs just crush flat when the full weight of the car is on them and defer the rate to the stiffer spring below it, but they allow the shock to fully extend on an unweighed car which keeps your spring captive, and helps keep 4 wheels on the road, by allowing unweighted areas of the car to rise without popping a wheel like you see in all those classic race photos, which is actually an undesirable characteristic.

The wheels on the tarago are called feroce.

File me as a skeptic. There are so many engines that would be deserving of this treatment more than a K engine. Why not start with something larger capacity and with a better head design, then there may actually be drive ability gains to record, and other aspects of the engine build could also be further tuned to support the mods to the internals. Why not make it proof of concept for a whole lot of ideas if you're actually going to do this, modify rod ratio, destroke it so it has a chance of safely achieving the motorcycle scale high rpm where this mod may matter, at least in a motorcycle. Then you have the issue of how high you can reva k motor anyhow, which requires more mods to increase. If you think about how motorcycles are made, they can shift sideways under power from the engines torque, just like a fwd car. They have potentially 4 cylinders across the bike, perpendicular to the wheels. This doesn't make me think there would be any gains at all in doing this in a rwd north south car, where the gyroscopic effect of the engines rotation actually enhances the feel of the steering and balance as a whole with throttle application.

Those things are rare but they are prone cracked manifolds so check it out thoroughly when the piping is removed. Otherwise, being such a rare care you will only find a handful of members have had them and can help you with specifics. I think a long time ago a member called soulsearcher had one and did a lot with it, if you search.

Yes thats about where you want to be. My car had 15x8 -8 fronts and -6 rears in this pic with 205 rubber, but it took a lot of flaring, plus 20mm a side maybe.

Yes but the rears are a much harder if you don't want bolt ons, but with bot ons you can remove some material and reweld the wheel well steel to the body with a few tacks before you fit them to get clearance and keep it fairly strong. Depends how low you are, from memory it was pretty low.

15x8 zero is a touch too wide for stock gaurds I think. Especially on the rear, you will need a bit of flare coverage to make it work. You may need 5 mm spacers on the front too.
