  1. Thanks. They just suit it so well!
  2. Just got new wheels and tyres for this rig. Rally style. 15x6.5 +8 linea sport rims. Single piece. Quite light. Loving the look.
  3. Putting a new kitchen into my rental house, that the landlord doesnt even know about. Long story. Just did my first plumbing and tiling ever. Like a boss!
  4. Do you have a good one, mine is loose in the left bushing and a little worn? How about some good rack ends?
  5. Fitted shorter power steering arms to this now. It apparently extremely rare to have a manual steer one. As most all are power. Makes power steering arms easy to get though. Compared to a quaife rack in a rolla, the change was mild, but still effective. Its much easier to toss around and park, however I have discovered that since the roadworthy the rack ends have worn out.
  6. Yeah but a JZ is just a shocking motor for a ke70. A v8 fits better. None would be legal for the street. 5000 bucks is a laughable budget for a full house motor conversion like a JZ. Stick to K motors for your first efforts at playing with cars. Who cares if you ʞ©$ɟ one messing with it. :clover:
  7. Ok, been doing more work on the front end. I went to see my friend Shauny Vidler at the brake shop and reconditioned the ra40 calipers. We measured the rotors, and they were over a mm from spent so they still have most of their life left. The pads are about 60% but well worth using up. I wanted to learn the finer points of rebuilding brake calipers so I got Shaun to demonstrate on the first one and I rebuilt the second one, its not really very hard. You just clean it all up really good, buff the caliper parts on the wire brush to clean them up. The pistons were pitted so they were replaced all together. There are only 2 rubber pieces on the ra40 calipers, the dust cover and the seal. Bloody glad we did this as there was a teaspoons worth of slime in each one. One of the bleeders was blocked as well. I took them all back to my shed. Carefully taped up the wheel bearings, and then blasted the bits of the rotors, hubs and brackets that you see. I also cleaned over the different pieces with brake cleaner and wiped them all down. The calipers, brackets and hubs have been painted with charcoal metallic hammer tone enamel like everything else underneath the front end that I've messed with. As soon as my t3 bearing top plates arrive Ill build the coilovers for real and get them into the shell for an assessment of how my wheels will fit the car. Ill have to work out how much clearance the thing will need for the tyres. I'm considering not running my xt 130 lcas because I have some with camber bolts to try, but I'm not too sure If I will get enough negative camber without the xt arms. I have camber plates for it also but even so I might not be able to get the amount I need. Ill have to see once its together. I cannot wait to build this thing! Before: After the rebuild but before paint:
  8. Duane Ludwig is a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast this week. Check it out. http://podcasts.joerogan.net/podcasts/duane-ludwig-tj-dillashaw
  9. If its smoky all the time its rings. If its a big problem when you start but once its up and running its not so bad it could be just valve stem seals. You may be able to have the head reconditioned and put it back on. If its smoky on startup and while driving around then your top and bottom ends need fixing.
  10. Yeah you need to floss with an open weave cloth behind the handle so you can catch the wire clip and pop it out of its groove.
  11. Or they call 15 minutes after they were supposed to arrive to tell you they are not coming at all. Or they send you a text while youre obviously driving there already and most likely will not see it until you arrive anyhow.
  12. Yeah the flying omaplatta looks cool but its not something you could execute without a long sleeved opponent I don't think.
  13. Almost all the most entertaining .gifs I have ever seen were from some form of pugilism. And by the way, please don't post here if you're just going to complain and not going to post an entertaining gif. Its the gif thread, not the 'complain about other peoples gif thread.' Try not to post too many times in a row without a gif.
  14. What the ʞ©$ɟ?
  15. Judging by what he has said it could be an st141, xt130 or rt132.
  16. BJ Penn was always my favourite. If you ask me he had the most natural all round talent of any fighter of his time. I think he could have worked harder to secure more victories, but I think overall he had a stellar career and to me is #1 pound for pound. I think all the people who list GSP in the P4P list are crazy. The idea being that one pound of this fighter would beat one pound of that fighter. To prove this you need to fight in higher weight classes than normal and succeed. This is something GSP has never done. He has always been one of the larger 170 pounders. Id like to see him actually step up and take a fight against someone larger to see if he could even make the bottom of the list. The P4P list should have fighters like BJ Penn, Anderson Silva, or Fedor, who could succeed against much larger opponents. Id like to say Wanderlei but there are a lot of doubts about some of his opponents and their intentions. He did fight Mark Hunt though, which was a great fight. He also fought Cro Cop, who was a fair bit bigger. I just wonder how much the Yakuza had to do with those fights and their outcomes. I always assume there is a fix on the card when I see Antonio Inoki in the front row.
  17. Yeah planning a wedding atm, The engagement party is expensive enough. Looking to have a theme for my wedding that allows ironic cheapness. There's a real conspiracy behind the price fixing of diamonds. Didn't stop me buying one for my missus. Its a custom. Go ask a Maori why he got his tribal tattoos. Its not really anything more than the identity that we give ourselves culturally and as a couple, and there happens to be one family monopolising the whole market. Good scam. Like Derrin Brown says, give people anything you like and condition them to want it... instead of meeting demands in a competitive environment. Personal Plates are not my thing, but that doesn't mean I haven't been trying to come up with an idea for one for the 2azfe ae86.
  18. The ref is Shonie Carter who was guest refereeing the fight or some crap. Best remembered for the spinning backfist ko of Matt Serra and that gif.
  19. Cool, bring it over on the weekend man Id love to check it out.
  20. Totally not enough detail here for anyone to help you. Luckily, you can help yourself with toyodiy.
  21. Nah I'm totally in the Bang camp. The ending was insane with Bang standing over Genki in the crane position, it was a classic moment in mma, a real life karate kid moment. Unfortunately I think that was Bang Ludwigs greatest mma achievement, besides probably his coaching of the alpha male team as those guys have started ko-ing all their opponents since Bang came to train them.
