personally go for it, you can't really lose out, if the head has been changed over, you should be able to see the top of one of the guides just by taking the oil cap off, see if its 4k setup or not, cheers phatke30!

Yeah mate, you'll be right. Thrashing or not, if its going to break, it'll break. if you do decide on running the 3k bigport, in my opinion, piss off the old valve's, valve guides and seats and replace them with a 4k setup, far better oil seal setup. When i got my bp head reco'd they modified and shortened the guides for better flow, maybe that could be something else to look at, cheers phatke30!

when it came round to getting one of my cars repaired that has candy paint, its impossible to match, even useing the same mixture of paint, base coats and all. slight temperature and humidity differences determine a completely different finished colour, not suitable for a daily at all, well in my opinion anyways. people who have had a similar experience or spray this kind of paint will know what i'm talking about.

Just my 2c, don't go a genuine candy colour.

Hey all, just thought i'd post up some pics of one of my recent rides, surely the worst condition rolla i've ever driven! Vehicle- 1979 ke55s! Its purpose? registered bush basher! yippee! :jamie: Engine-stock 4k powerhouse that always seen valve bounce every time i drove it! Gearbox-whichever was available at the time of exploding the old one! Diff-same as above! Exhaust- 2 inch straight through with a ridiculous cannon! Wheels and tyres- always being replaced on a weekly basis! Modifications- diff breather for deep creek crossings, wd40 in the glove box for wet dizzy, carpet and floor rubber grommets removed for water to easily escape, 2.5kg of body filler to hide the rust, well sort of, enjoy! :jamie: cheers, phatke30!
