  1. Yeah mate, pretty much. Either that or run the breather from the catch can to the air cleaner assembly if it has one(outlet that is). You may just have to check with your rta as different states have different laws. With the other outlet on the catch can, just block it off with a 'vacuum block off cap' or 'heater block off cap'. cheers phatke30!
  2. It's a toyota! of the 60's era, cheers phatke30!
  3. Hello fellow rollaclubians! Just out of curiousity, i know tassie is a big place, although has anyone down your way spotted a yellow four door ke30 with qld plates? cheers phatke30!
  4. The pc valve must always be connected to a vacuum source, otherwise its just there for good looks  . My personal opinion is id go oil breather (rocker cover)/ catch can/ air cleaner assembly. cheers phatke30! ps. leave the pc valve the way its suppose to be.
  5. That dash makes a hugh difference to the overall appearence of the interior  , cheers phatke30!
  6. Yes you would need to either modify/change the radiator with a 2t-g, not a 2t-c. Have a look at the top thermostat housing, or do what fusion has done, cheers phatke30!
  7. Wow! f@$k hey! Thats amazing, and riskey!
  8. In my opinion....................don't bother! they don't bolt straight into ke30's, custom engine mounts, you also would need a t50 box, hydraulic clutch setup, new radiator....rah rah rah. the heads were never an aussie production item, only import. personally i'd go something more common, its almost impossible to get parts for these heads, trust me i've been through it all before, these engines are also becoming like dinosaurs, at the end of the day its entirely up to you on what you'd like to do to your car, Now after bagging out on them, if you have the money and time, yeah i guess. they don't go too bad when set up right, but i guess thats the same with everything, just my 2 c, cheers phatke30!
  9. good to see some one off here got it, be good to see pic's of the progress, cheers phatke30!
  10. ^^^^^^Yeah i could imagine, i've been told stories along those lines, the black market in car parts up there must be a roaring trade..................................that is to city folk that break down! :rocknroll:
  11. Its not a black one by any chance is it? Be great to see pic's of your rolla, cheers phatke30!
  12. i thought id share this with you guys, as i stumbled across a few people that do this quite often, believe it or not i got told to use a bolster, so seeing how cheap they were i went out and bought a few in various widths, i done a section (drivers side front floor) and took me 20 mins to complete, i thought this was quite reasonable in time span, thanks once again guys for your idea's/imput, cheers phatke30!
  13. How pissed of would you be lineing up and worrying about the water depth when these guys rock up in their (lets say $100) car and show every one off, i would be, he he, and jarrod, thats so true, who else would be able to pull you out if you got stuck in the middle of that river? i'd be charging $200/10 mins, cheers phatke30!
  14. Na i don't, it was on the discovery science channel at the end of last year, i'll see if i can find something on youtube, if i do i'll link it, cheers phatke30!
  15. Not starting anything here guys, anyone watched "Top 10's" four wheel drives on fox? Proven is the stock 70's model range rover, best all round 4wd.............thats what they say. They just need to be a little more reliable thats all, cheers phatke30!
  16. I've had these pic's for a while, just cleaning up my emails and thought i'd post them, this took place up in north queensland,
  17. thanks for the idea's guys, dry ice isn't hard for me to get, if it wasn't for moisture somehow makeing its way between the sound deadening (gotta love rust) and the floor i would't have bothered with doing this, i'm going to tackle it this weekend with the idea's in mind, cheers phatke30!
  18. and i had to paint the underside of the car before i thought of this :lolcry: I've got one on hand. Thanks, thats another option. the tool you use, is it similar to a tile scraper/breaker?
  19. with the rust, depends how you want to do it? personally i'd get a grinder with a wire brush wheel and go nuts, clean it out properly, fishoil the f**k out of the inside then weld a nice plate to the outside, as for the lower rad support panel i'd give it a go at trying to get it back straight, just my 2c, cheers phatke30!
  20. mmmmmm, the heat gun way sounds rather less time consuming, although getting a hold of a heat gun............i might just buy one. if that doesn't work i'll do redwarf's hammer and grog weekend, thanks for your replies fella's, cheers phatke30!
  21. very true mate :lolcry:
  22. Hey all, I've just done a search on here and came up with a thousand topics........................... Question- How on earth do i remove all of the sound proofing/body deadening from the floor inside my rolla? i'd be buggered if i'm going to spend two days with a screw driver slowly picking away at it. I've been told that i need to use some sort of heat gun? WTF? Any help would be greatly appreciated! cheers phatke30!
  23. Nice collection you got there mate, sad to see them sitting there in the long grass rusting away :lolcry: cheers phatke30!
  24. No drama's, sounds like you may have to replace your clutch slave cylinder of recondition it fella, cheers phatke30!
  25. You said it was empty? the reservoir? and you topped it up? Saying that, it was bone dry, obviously its leaking from somewhere. Have you inspected the clutch master cylinder? Slave cylinder? And clutch hoses and lines? When you filled it back up again, did you bleed the clutch system? Sorry for all the questions but it needs to be narrowed down, cheers phatke30!
