  1. Nose wheel first touch down..... va20.jpe
  2. Xany and Jamie; Teddy now has your parts. R
  3. Ta! I've got something coming up this way, but I need something taken to Jamie as well. I'll talk to you soon. R
  4. Good. I don't feel so useless now that I know someone else can't play it!!
  5. If you could take an item of mine for Jamie, that would be much appreciated. R
  6. The guys name was Erik Dowker. A bit of a speel Here. The bloke was Brocky's personal guru, and funnily enough, inventer of the polariser.
  7. Basically it was a box with a couple of magnets and iron filings that was meant to readjust the molecules in the car, blah blah positive energy etc.... You get the drift. In short. Small box. Magnets. Bolted to car. Didn't work. :S
  8. That pretty much sums it up. That was the big break from Holden when he went to either BMW or Sierra's, I can't remember. Lifted from another forum, but it sums it up nicely.... Google.com is your friend... :wootjump:
  9. I loved the guy soldering using his feet and eating pizza at the same time.
  10. Speaking as someone from an engineering background, I can't see how it would work. Or even why it should work. By all means try it and see if it would work, but at around $200, that's about 200 litres of petrol you need to save before it pays itself off. Say 10% fuel saving, that's 50 fills at the pump, and around 20000kms before it pays off. In round figures. Probably more. I'll admit it. I'm a sceptic when it comes to these things. If they were that good, everyone would have them. It reeks of Brocky's Poleriser.
  11. Normally a good head reco is anywhere from $200 to $400 for a good, clean well done job. I used to use The Engine Reviver in Epping. Nothing flash, but a good honest job. Two brothers used to run it, they looked like Mr Cotter off "Welcome Back, Cotter"... I don't know what my good head is worth, but I own a $3K 3K!
  12. HSD were the guns with Corolla heads when I lived down there. They probably still are. Peter Robinson has everything Corolla. And knows what it's worth. I found him a bit hard to deal with, but then again, I had different opinions to him, and he's always right. Just ask him. Good place for getting rare stuff though.
  13. *sigh* Why do I feel I wrote all that for nothing?
  14. VR4 rotors and VT V8 4spots give you about 5-10mm clearance on a 14" rim. I let you know when they're fitted. Mel had skyline rotors on her old Datto, and they fit under 14's. R
  15. Wade 169x 30/70 70/30 .270 lift at lobe. Can't remember the rest....
  16. Got dish??
  17. Better looking, too! :D
  18. Correct on all points.
  19. Appartently this has been around for a while, but I got a giggle..... driftbattle.jpe
  20. Gday Col, good to hear from you again! Rob
  21. Toyowreck (?) I think it was, the Toyota Wrecker in Bayswater in Melbourne used to get them in. At one stage it was cheaper to buy a K-T box than it was a K50 off them.
  22. Dale, mate, sit down here with your Uncle Dwarf and lets have a friendly non-flaming chat over a nice cup of internet. Firstly, you require some research. Google.com is excellent, as somewhere in the world, someone has done any given engine conversion. Honestly. If you want to put a quad-cam into a Honda Zot, some bloke in Uzbechistan has already done it and put it onto the internet. All the other usuals like Toyomods, twincam.org and there's another one that I can't remember right now (it's late) are useful resources, too. They all have search functions, and Toyomods especially mercilessly flame anyone who hasn't done their homework. Unless you're excessively clever and know some really talented people, fast = expensive. And the dollars compound the faster you want to go. A 12 second car is cubic dollars. If you're pumping out big neddies, you WILL need upgraded drivetrain, and to prevent really bad things happening at the end of your ten second pass, brakes and suspension, too. Here's a friendly tip, don't believe everything people tell you. Go out to your car with a tape measure, ruler, calipers, micrometer, piece of string, and see for yourself if things'll fit. I'll gaurantee, if it looks like it may not fit, it wont. Sadly not many of us in here play with these new fangled FWD cars, but we would be interested to see what you come up with. Good Luck!
  23. You could see from the R4 before the left he was never going to make that. FWD, he should have been picking gears, not on the brakes! Remember kids, if you go off facing forwards, your not trying hard enough..... :D
  24. Rather unhelpful, but my Gregorys states 4 imp quarts, and as to type, "type A suffix A". I would assume any ATF suitable for older cars. They don't require something like Dextron 3 or any thing like that as far as I know. Max kick down speed should be around 30mph, or it should click back itself between 8-15 mph.
