:) i was down at pick-n-go yesterday taking the tailshaft out of the ke25 that was there, and totally forgot about your part :) the front struts are still there, so i'd guess the stabiliser mounts are also still there if you wanted to check it out.

correct cuzzo :) taz, i'd admit to being a dickhead, but i'd never seriously endanger myself intentionally (by doing excessive speeds with dodgy parts) i know driving with a rooted t/s is bad, but it couldn't be helped on the weekend. washing machine comes before car. i don't think i went above 105km/h during my travels.

D. you drive a car that feels safe. she had no drama's when we went out in the xr6 because it didn't feel like a tin can being shot from a cannon.

tailshaft is off atm getting new uni's put in by a professional....as opposed to my dodgy install that had thefront one binding a bit, which is why my gearbox has been leaking. i have new output seal to go in as well when i put the tailshaft back in (in about 1 hr) will be going for a quick shakedown lap then off to pick up some new parts and go shopping for a washing machine (ours broke on wednesday night :hmm: ** well wasn't yesterday fun. NOT my tailshaft is well and truely rooted. so out of balance with bits missing that i've no choice but to find another. of course, it didn't stop me driving ~150km yesterday. i can't see it going anywhere again until i get back from OS and have some $ to spend on the twins upgrade :P not happy, but not much else i can do dF

early corolla's only grab my attn cos it's always nice to see them out and about. i'd say i spot one (KE1x-KE2x) everytime i leave the house, and probably 4-5 KE3x-KE5x's. xA2x celica's are very few and far between on the roads, i'm lucky to see one a month :P the fact that i rarely see any ta/ra celica's around means they grab my attn alot more. and you can always be sure it's a dedicated owner, not just any run-of-the-mill person driving it. i've yet to see a xA2x being used (or looking as bad as) like a KE3x-KE5x does with damage/poor maintenance/ruined interior. while i'm sure my car grabs a bit of attn, it's safe to say people hear it and just think "he's got a loud exaust, what a wanker".....where-as if it were an early celica making the same noise, they be going "man, that car sounds awesome" because they look like they should be making such noise! the other way i look at it is this: grandpa (KE) vs grandson (TA/RA) old faithful weekday vs playful weekender i'll let you all think about that... dF

i haven't run anything by her as yet......still trying to accumulate brownie points before we go OS. i have a feeling she'll be cranky with me a fair bit while we're away. (i hope) it'll work well, she's included in the weekend/cruise, i won't have to listen to her telling me to 'slow down' and 'drive nicer' and benny get's a rolla for a day.

regardless of the logistical nightmare (and the possible ramifications from the partner if she ever finds out) of organising everything else that needs to change, i'm always on the lookout for the right car at the right price. '11 i'm not too keen on, but the '16 is a possibility :P

yeah, (un)fortunately, there is now only the two driveable ones there, my red 20 and katie's gold 55, on the premises anyway. this is all dependent on what katie wants....you might end up as her chauffeur driving the 55 while i tear around in the 20 on my own.

not a ke1x, but i had the factory te27 cluster and an aftermarket 2 5/8" tacho wired up at the same time in my ke20 which has an elec dizzy. factory tacho was running off the loom, the aftermarket was wired independently (like witzl, straight off the -ive @ coil). factory tacho showed higher revs low down, but less revs up top. they crossed over around 2k rpm. at idle, the factory showed 1000 and aftermarket showed 800. up high, the factory showed 6000 and aftermarket showed 6400. i'd suggest buying/borrowing an aftermarket tacho just to see what it shows against your factory one if you're worried/unsure of it reading correctly.

you don't need anything special for a tafe course, you just need to apply and wait. you could probably apply for your pets to take a tafe course, altho they might fail, they would still be able to get a place :lol:

i was presuming the 'off' happened on flat ground. i can't see the quad coming backwards and landing on top. if it was going up a hill, then the quad will most likely end up on top.
