  1. theres been so many but ill start with a few of these....
  2. Yeah those wheels/tyres fit Luc, they are pretty big but car is stock ride height and there is bugger all suspension travel. The 28x9 drag slicks are bigger, I wonder how they will fit.... I use a S5 RX7 Turbo Gearbox which is unmodified, mounted on the (modified) stock gearbox crossmember and custom mount. Tunnel has been slightly widened and raised, stock carpet fits but only just. Tunnel isnt much larger than stock really until i goes under the heater core where the carpet doesnt reach to anyway
  3. haha funny you ask, I only just spent the last couple of days stripping the whole car. It now sits as a completely bare shell with only the diff at the back and jocky wheels at the front so that it I can still move it around. Looking very sad atm, no panels, no running gear, no interior or dash, no wiring loom, boot is compeletely empty. There is some rust that needs fixing and I have more upgrades in mind. Not sure if i will be fixing the current shell or looking for a replacement shell to swap everything into, only time will tell.... Cheers, Ryan
  4. Goodluck with the project, let me know (PM is best, not on here much) if you have any questions. Id say I would have a few useful parts for you too.... Cheers, Ryan

I would hate to imagine what they gave the poor old lady on a trade in for it..... Probably $800 :bash: Truly overrated!
  7. looks like ill miss another yr! Ill have my car there one day, PROMISE!
  8. i had a complete new set made by industrial springs here in Adelaide at the same time i got 6kg front springs made. Mates rates roughly $400 which i couldnt complain about!!! RRP i think was about $600-700, this was a couple of yrs ago now
  9. my KE20 wont be running but i wouldnt mind coming for a look in the daily
  10. '85 S3 RX7 13B EP fresh respray
  11. not real keen on the colours but as per usual your work is top notch troy. Love the dish
  12. keen to make a few panels? id be interested in some... Car looks sweet Cheers, Ryan
  13. yes this is true I was originally thinkin an 8kg spring but i am now planning on a stiffer front swaybar so the spring doesnt need to be as stiff. I think 8kgs will be too harsh, thinking 6-7kgs and a thicker swaybar will be a better set-up for my needs
  14. please keep this updated! Cheers, Ryan
  15. this is usually due to unequal length linkages and when the car is lowered it shifts the diff over. I run 5kgs front springs (too soft for my needs) and heavy duty shocks front, rear i run extra leaf pack plus a half rebound leaf to help stop axle tramp and heavy duty shocks. New front end will be stiffer front spring plus thicker front swaybar. For most people a 5kg will be plenty stiff enough, i have a fair bit more weight in the front of my car hence having to go with a stiffer front end set-up. I will be running short stroke adjustable shocks all round with the new set-up also
  16. CONGRATS!
  17. bought another set of wheels, 19's instead of 18's. Same design but this time staggered dish and wider on the rear. Should set the car off nicely. Also upgraded my front grille, ill post up some pics shortly Cheers
  18. congrats luc, great achievement
  19. If you are willing/able to do most of the work yourself YES it is possible. However to make the car safe and relaible will cost several thousand more... I got my KE20 on the road with a Stock S5 13BT engine and g/box set-up for around $8G, this was with a microtech comp, FMIC, exhaust and few other bits and peices. It was a fun and QUICK car but did not handle or brake very well and was pretty unsafe. Stock diff didnt last long either with over 4 times the stock power figure. It the extras like diff, brakes, suspension where you will find yourself over budget.
  20. Good to see another rotarolla in the build
  21. theres another two pairs of saab chaser rims and a pair of 14x7 steelies for the rear as well, all with tyres. I'm sure ill put them to good use when the time comes. Cheers, Ryan
  22. looking forward to progress pics
  23. Few spare pairs of rear rims/tyres :y: Cheers
