  1. yeh the old rotary can make some gd numbers relaibly, as long as there well looked after. Which really isnt that hard, I drive my car HARD almost everytime i drive it, but its well maintained. Always warmed up properly, start it let it idle for a min or two then cruise until everythings up to temp then its.... :P :y: The motor in my car which was bought second hand and lasted 18 months of my driving so thats pretty good IMO, id expect the new motor to last alot longer and with some more power Cheers
  2. Glad ive motivated someones else to build a rotarolla, I can't begin to explain how much fun this car is Cheers, my 14's are almost perfect offset for my diff and 7 inch rim. I have about an inch either side, IMO anything bigger than a 225-235 and i will have scrubbing issues. Could pump the lip out a bit more and change the offset/width to suit but don't see the point, rear tyres don't last very long and a 225-235/60/15 will fit well and is a common size (commodores gotta be good for something) so tyres will be easier to come by Cheers
  3. while waiting for front end parts i thought i would flare my rear guards to suit my saab rims. So ill be running a full set. These are 15x6 with 185/55/15 i have been running a 14x7 with a 205/60/14 Rims n tyres, cheers to corey for the hook up with tyres! Notice the nanna ride height, rock solid stiff but keeping with the sleeper theme:smiley1: as you can see they stick out the guards roughly an inch So i tackled the rear guards with a heatgun, hammer and rubber mallet. resulting in.... This shows how much extra room i now have with the 14x7's back on it, these use to sit flush with the lip and even tho rolled scrubbed on accasions. don't mind the cracked paint, shiny paint doesnt make it go faster. Ill get around to fixing it The plan for down the track is to get some 15's made in the same offset/wide as the 14's and run a 225-235 rear tyres. Bit of extra grip would be nice Havnt finished passenger side yet and will be spending some more time on the drivers side before I'm happy with it Cheers
  4. new wheels look HEAPS better how did you go at powerplay? Cheers
  5. NICE! Cheers
  6. it was my understanding it is legal provided you don't touch the chassis rails at all, but you should def check with ur engineer. don't worry i understand how hard it is to keep a car legal, i don't bother trying anymore. But it sounds you like are going to the effort to atleast try so well done Members rides thread? id love to check out ur car Cheers
  7. can you please post them here for people not on theo ther forum Cheers
  8. i wish E85 was more readily available, i would def change to it. the performance gains speak for themself. Any updates on the car? Cheers

  11. yeh ive got the otomoto kit for my KE20 to Cheers
  12. yeh a 12A-13B bare is ~90-100kgs
  13. so after all this mucking around with an engineer your going to end up with a car that is still ILLEGAL because the later mods wouldnt of been approved by the engineer...... IMO you should just been honest with your engineer about the car and the end result will be a COMPLETELY LEGAL car. Doing it right the first time is always cheaper in the long run Cheers
  14. ive never driven a BUILT auto before, ive always been a manual man. But the auto does pull the numbers on the strip, and consistantly
  15. always a spot in my car for you Mick, even if its not the corolla Cheers

    Spotted

    me??? or SLO-030? Cheers
  18. i would say mine is close if not more than 1000kgs, doesnt take much for the weight to add up bare motor is probably lighter than a K motor but everything else isnt: turbo+manifold exhaust coolers gbox tailshaft diff suspension (rear leafs are considerably heavier with extra leafs added) brakes cage fuel set-up When my car is running again ill chuck it on a weigh bridge and find out exactly what it weighs
  19. nice looking power curve! I'm sure 10's arent far away Cheers
  20. sorry to hear, regency is never a fun experience. Hope its not too painful for you. Cheers
  21. For once I'm not a fan of the plans Troy, i say leave the wheels and add redwalls if anything. I'm sure whatever you so the car will look awesome though, your previous cars have proven this :) Cheers
  22. looks gd, clean and straight. don't think the guard mirrors suit but the side body moulding and wheels are great. Should get the whitewalls redone, its not that expensive and will make a HUGE difference IMO
  23. i run pedders shocks in my car (not for much longer tho, going koni adj : )) and was quite impressed with them. Apparently there 15% stiffer than a Munroe GT(???)
  24. doubtful the corolla will be running but ill try come say hi in the daily
