  2. congrats on the 7 sec pass Scott, shame about the motor! But I'm sure you'll have the car back better than ever in no time. Cheers, Ryan
  3. wheels look good, nice resto job on them.
  4. the ones you have tally seem to be more equal length, which is a good thing! Is there much work involved to make them fit? It could be worthwhile
  5. i originally got my car on the rd with the stock 13BT set-up w microtech, FMIC, exhaust for roughly $8K. Most of the work was done myself except some wiring, exhaust and a tune.
  6. any 13BT corolla is MAD is my books, nice updates keep them coming. I'm lacking time/motivation for mine atm : ( Cheers, Ryan
  7. sounds and looks tough as! 12.8 aint to shabby either, nice work Cheers
  8. looks awesome Luc, nice work!!! hurry up and finish it so you can paint mine haha
  9. Sub is mounted on the LHS of the boot facing towards the RHS. Its a ported box, i found this to be the best position for sound and practicality as this is my everyday car  This was before the sound proofing went in but shows where the sub sits Cheers
  10. couldnt make it due to work commitments unfortunately, looks like a good turnout. Hopefully the KE20 is realy for the next one. Cheers
  11. Woops kinda forgot about this thread.... Merc has had a few small things done since i last updated this thread New 5 1/2" POLK AUDIO front splits, Rockford Amp, new wiring New front badge New tyres Front and back, went with fatties on the back this time to fill out the guards a bit better. F 205/65 R225/60 New whitewalls New front bushes KILLER wheel alignment NEW Bilstien Shocks all round Full service and tune and a lovely dent in the side from someones door when i left it in the carpark at work, NO HAPPY JAN!!!!
  12. I dig it, would love to drop my drivetrain into something like this one day Cheers
  13. AWESOME!!! This is the kinda of motivation i need to get my KE20 going again Cheers
  14. I went with all black (satin/matte) with my car, mainly cos i didnt really care much what it looked like and black is more sleeper spec. But ill be going with the same colour as the car this time. Black looked OK when clean but that didnt last long before getting dirty/dusty.
  15. BIG FAN!!! nice buy
  16. I'm keen to give him a go, I'm in burnside. just need some new treads on the back before getting them, if I'm happy ill prob have a few cars for him to do Cheers
  17. cars coming along nicely dude, looked gd today. Cheers
  18. Unless its a BUILT auto they generally feel sluggish and indirect so i much prefer a manual. So many "sports shift" autos still shift up/down whenever they like not when you want them too. A manual you are in total control of the car all the time, i don't like being a passenger while driving lol
  19. Yes i have, the stable of cars of driven it far and wide. I still prefer a manual, even if the auto is quicker much of the time. Atleast with a manual you are in complete control of what the car is doing. That power figure (which is the same as what I'm now aiming for) will be INSANE in a KE20, i had 211rwkw before searching for more.... That was more than enough to fry tyres at highways speeds rolling onto the throttle :fuzz:
  20. manauls are more fun IMO, especially for a street/track car
  21. No progress on the car unfortunately, need to get rid a couple of other cars so ive got space to bring it home and get cracking on it. Will update when they happen  Cheers
  22. I remember the original aim was 1hp/kg, surely.... SERIOUSLY QUICK car, cars seems to run straight and hard. Would love to know a little more info, I'm sure youve done some more work underneath  Still my biggest inspiration for my car, please keep this thread and you wedsite http://www.oke020.com/ Cheers
  23. Your going to need a diff to hold that sort of power. My KE20 handled 170rwkw with the stockie 12's on fine (no grip in any gear just span the wheels...) but as soon as i put decent rubber/wheels it had no hope. Now running a shortened hilux with 4.11's and have had no worries ever since
  24. very nice power band mate, got heaps of power down low. Nice and torquie for the street. I'm thinking about changing to E85 in my corolla, just wish it was more readily available in SA.
  25. id run 10's on the back if they fit. Worst case you fit a hairdryer so you can turn them
