  1. was a good little meet up for an EARLY sunday morning, i know i wouldnt of made it if i didnt live 2mins away. Sorry wasnt really talkative, literally only JUST got out of bed. It was a "cruise" so you would of been able to keep up fine. Perfect weather for it too, not too hot that early. Was good except for the amount of cyclists on the rd. Hope nobody minded the non-rolla/classic car, went my own way anyway about half way up greenhill rd. Thanks for the motivation to get my KE20 running again, some nice cars attended Cheers
  2. seeing as this is 2mins from my house ill try pop down and say hi. I finish exams on friday though so no sure how ill be feeling that early sun morning
  3. AWESOME! think you should go turbo though down the track
  4. nice work with the car, its looking awesome and saounds like its coming together nicely. I recently replaced almost the complete brake system in a car and was shocked at how BAD they were on the first drive. Very much how you described yours, I rebleed my lines and gave them a good bedding in and they have been AWESOME since. So maybe give them a bleed and a few more ks. I run 200:1 pre-mix in my rotors, and any two stroke oil seems to be fine. Sometimes a little smoky at idle but no stress cos i know its just the pre-mix and its only very light. Most of the shitboxes driving around most worst.
  5. cushioned 4/5/6 puck button clutch and atleast a one tonne pressure plate.
  6. can't wait to see how this evolves. Ive always wanted to mod one of these, would of choosen a V8 one tho purily for the sound. I'm sure ill love the "LOOK"
  7. thats awesome. Congrats
  8. Ive bought a few parts but no progress unfortunately. Simply don't have the time/effort due to illness in the family :(
  9. Great progress Ryan, nice work. Cars looking real nice, tidy set-up
  10. I train chest/tri, back/bi. Have tried doing chest/bi, back/tri and got some good results. But with my current split/training routine it wouldnt work, doesnt give then enjoy time to recovery between workouts. Never tried training both together.....
  11. looks awesome, well done! Price? PM if you prefer Cheers
  12. Yeh atm my program is 4 sets (sometimes 5 if i don't fail on my last set) for each exercise. Yes i do decline but it depends where i train, one gym doesnt have a decline bench so can't do it. The other does, if i go there (which is usually only once every 3-4 chest sessions) i will do decline first, then incline then flat bench. IMO most people have a weak upper chest, myself included not that long ago. Thats why i usually do incline first, i can now incline more than i use to be able to flat bench. I don't agree with your rep range/weight theory but don't have the time/effort to go into detail atm. Bad pics, but traps are one of my weak points. This is directly related to my grip strength, both of which I'm currently focusing on improving. I use the 40-45kgs DB's for shrugs on my final set, can't hold any heavier than that without straining my forearms.
  13. I ran city-to-bay sunday (12km) : ) took me just over an hr (63mins), which i was pretty happy with considering i only trained a couple of times before the event and the wed before i couldnt run anymore than 100m before having to stop due to shin splints. Did chest/tris yesterday incline DB chest press:15kgsx15reps, 20kgsx10, 30kgsx10, 40kgsx8 (assisted last rep) flat DB chest press: as above cable crossover: 4 sets 15, 10, 8, 5 reps increasing weight tri pulldown: as above skull crushers: as above single arm tri kickbacks: as above Legs are still a bit sore from the run so just did an easy 10K bike ride today and will be doing legs tomorow
  14. looking good dude, it would be a shame to not drive this on the street. Looks like its going to be a very neat set-up
  15. make sure the centre bores have been enlarged on the mazda wheels otherwise you will find they wont come off
  16. Simply awesome! would love to see some footage of this car is action Cheers
  17. throw some pics up mate The KE20 strut upgrade is pretty popular for KE10/11's, do a search on here its been covered a few times.
  18. thanks, needs ALOT of time/money spent on it atm to get it back up and running. But I'm hoping we get some nicer weather soon so i can start working on it again. SA has a far more relaxed rego system ; ) Cheers
  19. always happy to see another rotarolla being built. Good work, OM's will look nice and are something (a little) different to the usual FR's
  20. YEP! Of course some of them would be quicker point-to-point (EVO dominates here) but for straight line the KE20 wins, only problem i have is grip
  21. Ive driven ALOT of quick cars over the years, but I'm yet drive anything that scares me as much as the little old corolla http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=24656 Driven..... EVO 8-10 XR6T w mods RX7 13BT w mods WRX w mods Mustang old and new HSV R8 GTS RX7 13B BP w mods RX8 GT 911T BA-BF GT(-P) FOCUS XR5T w mods Mazda 6 MPS 300ZX TT w mods Soarer 1J TT w mods CL500 5ltr AMG V8 w exhaust etc etc i would of driven well over 100 cars in my few years of driving
  22. i use a shortened hilux and FC RX7 front brakes (rotors and calipers) on S2 RX7 struts
  23. ditto But if you are serious (which that power figure isnt) PM me and i can give you some details from my personal experience. I was pushing over 200rwkw and have the drivetrain to support that Cheers
  24. don't really know, i have done incline bench first for a long time now before doing flat bench. last set of incline i usually manage 5-6@100kgs, pyramid the weight up doing 4-5 sets then i usually do the same for flat bench 5-6@100kgs sometimes 2-4@110kgs, chest is already pretty sore after incline. For 1 rep max id say i could get pretty close to ~130kgs Planning to drop to single digit %bf for summer
  25. just a few little things, will do. Yeh all good hes happy with it, everyone (including yourself I'm sure) is so busy lately. He does still want the boot done whne the time comes Cheers
