  1. At the back of youre gauge cluster there will be a resistor. I've had two of these fail on me and the fuel and temp gauges dropped out both times. For some reason Toyota used 10v (I think) gauges, hence the resistor. Any auto elec should be able to do this very easily if youre not comfortable having a go yourself.
  2. Try a set or recaros from a suziki swift GTI. They're a really good fit. some modification of rails is required.
  3. I got a quote of about $250 for reversing spring eye's and adding an extra leaf
  4. Just read this thread now, shame to hear the car was stolen, good to hear it was recovered. I've actually seen the car in the Northcote area (before the theft) it looks/ed pretty good. If you still need a new lock ect. then PM me as I have some at work which are a deleted line so they're going quite cheaply. I have alarms too if you're keen and i'm not to far from your area.
  5. I got a quote a few weeks back to reverse the spring eyes and add an extra leaf. It was $250 if I removed them myself. A brand new set of front lowered spring should not cost more than $150
  6. Mine started to do this exact same thing yesterday, carby cleaner doesn't help either.
  7. Spotted today bout 3pm a white ke30/55 turning into Greensborough Plaza (Maccas Ent.) Lowered with Globe Bathurst style rims and a white Rollaclub sticker on the back window. Plates were ROL1A Neat looking little rolla.
  8. You have a "Firm Knob"....
  9. Don't wanna burst your bubble, but I went and had a look and that rear guard has had more bog put in it than a public toilet.
  10. Yeah it's been done. Redline make a manifold to suit. Part # 12-23 & 12-22 (From memory) depending on big port or small port.
  11. The TE71's Better Goods explanation:KARORA 1600GT carries the masterpiece 2 T=GEU type engine of a twin-cam engine, and demonstrates horsepower output 115ps/6000rpm and maximum torque 15.0kgm/4800rpm. Blow going up from a low-speed region to a high-speed region is good, by matching with EFI= electronic control formula fuel equipment, power is demonstrated without leaving, if the power serves as room to a city area run and it becomes an expressway run, it excels also in instantaneous power in case of emergency, and a safer run is possible. 1600GTs won popularity as a new sedan sport into which DOHC (twin cams) changes a run. 12. Hey guys, Found this site a couple of weeks ago. Corolla/Levin models all the way back to the sixties. Being Japanese there's no KE's. but near enough's good enough I say. My TE37 arrived in the mail today. Not a great amount of detail' they're only small models. Cost was about 2600 yen which converted to approx $25 at the time. undefined

  21. Hi Guys, My name's Chris. I live in Epping and own a 79 KE55s. I called it colonel mustard but i've noticed somebody else calling theirs by the same name (I'll just shorten it to the Colonel) I'm currently using it as a daily driver although I have plans for it (as I'm sure alot of you have for your own corollas). I have always loved the shape and as of approx six months ago I finally own one. Its just a stocker running a 4k-c with a k40 box. have made a few little tweaks so far like head unit, parcel tray, removed clock from dash and replaced with a tacho. steering wheel, halogen H4 headlights and a pair of spotlights. There will be plenty to follow as soon as i get another daily driver. Cheers. P.S. Great forum, very informative.
