  1. Shit yeah, still repping the k motor! Damn I'm keen to see how this turns out Stu, reckon you could give me a yell when you get around to doing some dyno runs?
  2. Nice job mate, keen to see a dyno graph from your final run.
  3. Awesome job! Would be a mean sleeper in that colour with standard wheels..
  4. Cool project mate, How much money do you want to spend? Your options vary depending on how much money you have to play with, you can do something effective on the cheap though. https://technotoytun...com/toyota/ke20 http://www.rollaclub...grade-for-ke20/
  5. Hey Bowler, The part number is 363046 which I located by searching a few forums, when my mate from Burson's looked it up he said that was not an Australian part number. Summit and a few other websites stock them; http://www.summitracing.com/dom/parts/kyb-363046/overview/ Thanks mate, it would be great to organise a few more cruises over the coming months. I have finished baffling the sump and modifying the oil pickup to suit the bigger sump. Not a lot else happening at the moment, pretty busy with uni! Sorry I used the crap camera for these ones;
  6. Yeah he came down to babs on Thursday, Dave said he thought he'd seen it at AutoSalon a few years back too.
  7. Missed the cruise thread? :P
  8. Haha will see Long, depends if my other plans fall through.
  9. It's looking likely that I will make this after all :)
  10. Wow that figure is somewhat surprising, sounds like it is driving well so that's all that really matters!
  11. Cheers, Hayashi Street replicas, in hindsight they are a pretty poor size/offset. I know more now than I did then! I'd love a wide set of Hayashi's but think I will probably end up with a set of SSR MKIII's eventually. I'd like to be running 7s or 7.5s up front and 8S or 9s on the rear. When I measured it a few weeks back there is heaps of room in the rear arches, not so much in the front.
  12. Keen to hear what you make on the dyno, how much boost are you running at the moment?
  13. Love the Nardi mate, I will be running one too when funds permit.
  14. You are doing some cool fab work that is well worth reading, I'm sure people are enjoying the build. Nice job! :y: Can't say I love the gearbox choice though.
  15. Have been for a few years.. Thanks Josh and GJM, one day it might be finished! lol
  16. Hey guys, I have spent a decent amount of time driving this thing over the past few weeks and it has been a blast! Went for a driving weekend with mates through Gippsland and last weekend I did a DECA day. I have fitted up the rear sway bar and it has certainly improved things. Now the single pegging is worse though lol, makes it hard to drive with crappy tyres on the rear! (which I did for the expression session in the afternoon). New tyres performed really well but I swapped them off the rear for the afternoon session as the 1st and 2nd gear wheelspin was really starting to chew them out! For the next skidpan days I reckon I might get another pair of wheels and fit up some cheap Achilles or similar. Next mods will be an LSD and some stiffer front springs, I reckon the car should behave a bit better then and be more predictable when it gets sideways.
  17. I have since bought a 3K Bigport head after ccing both that and a regular 3K head. Compression will now be at 10.5:1 which is just what I'm after. The larger ports should also be of benefit with my bigger cam, will still give them a bit of a cleanup regardless. I will also upgrade the stem seals after hearing of how poor the 3K ones are compared to later model K series ones. I have also fitted new shocks all round and the car is behaving a lot better! Fronts are 'rear' shocks to suit USDM 1986 AW11 from Summit, there is no such part number in Australia. I made some spacers to sit underneath as they are a bit shorter than the KE20 ones. Rear shocks are Celica shocks courtesy of Adam (silverra23), now he has upgraded to Shockworks gear. They fitted perfectly once I trimmed the lower bushes down a bit. It was quite a pain in the arse to undo these nuts on the struts, until I fashioned up the following tool. As you can see the shocks were totally stuffed! No pressure and instead of self extending the fell limply as I pulled them out of the car. Must have been the originals I think. In the next week or so I will finally upgrade my front brakes (cheers for the calipers etc Paul). They will consist of; rebuilt KE70 Panelvan calipers + new rotors, KE20 hubs, trimmed EBC Red Cortina pads. I also have some R31 Pintara LCA's I plan on modifying to fit, in order to get some camber cheaply. Longterm I will have an LSD, 4x114.3 all round, coilover front, vented brakes and most likely some rebuilt SSR MKIII's. This will be a good few grand of spending though so I'm putting it off for a while. I also need to get my arse into gear and paint my fiberglass TE27 lip and fit it up. Repping AMEP gear on Saturday as I handed out how-to-votes for the election. My swaybar should also arrive soon I hope, he has been telling us 'next week' for a few weeks now..
  18. Love it mate, coming up well thus far! How much was postage on the T3 arms? I have been browsing Techno Toy Tuning a bit, but worried postage would be killer on items with that kind of weight..

You sure have some skills there mate! Tough car taking shape, nice job. ;)
  20. Looks like a great little track car, what did you think of the Achilles semi's? I know you can get them quite cheap but is the grip any good?
  21. Nice project mate! Love your attention to detail and big ups for getting stuck in at a young age, that's how it all starts. :y:
  22. Big project, looking forward to seeing this come together!
  23. Looking good man, nice job on the speedo gauge. Subtle and practical.
  24. Great read, love your work mate. Be really interested to hear what it does on the dyno, assuming you can find somewhere trustworthy to take it!
