  1. Ooohhhh!!!
  2. !!! I'll swap you a copy of yours, for a copy of the AE86 papers!
  3. Or telling some girl in a nightclub you have a 25.4cm dick Although that probably still feels right (not that I would know - not being a girl)
  4. Have you set the float properly?
  5. Just finished watching a show from BBC4 - Grand Prix: The Killer Years. Examines the horrific toll exacted through the 60's & 70's. I challenge you to watch it and remain unmoved. I'm sitting here fairly stunned right now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00z8v18/Grand_Prix_The_Killer_Years/ You will most likely need a region unblocker to view it, but will probably end up on Australian TV soon enough.
  6. If you do replace it, you need to ensure you get one with the same number of teeth. Other possibilities include a broken or detached from geearbox speedo cable (remove and check), or the cable has fallen out the back of the speedo (unlikely)
  7. Anyone with an acount appears to be able to place an ad. Note, it is said to be in the Phillipines, not the UK. Not suggesting it's anything but legitimite mind.
  8. Can you find a part number on the distributor? That may help someone identify it for you
  9. You can't assume that the engine or distributor are original to the car. I believe all KE1x's would have had a Denso distributor originally. Likely you have an engine from a later KE20 or 30 variant fitted, but equally possible the dizzy has been changed at some point. Worse case scenario, you get the wrong one and have to take it back.
  10. The problem is there are a couple of caps as there are a two K engined Bosch distributors. KE20/30 3K cap is a GB708 rotor GB73 points GB534 condensor GB815 KE55 4K cap is a GB820 rotor GB787 points GB534 condensor GB815 The D in the part number refers to Denso, B to Bosch Edit: I should note, my source is the Bosch Aftermarket catalogue dated 2007
  11. You should know better than that Jono. Virtually nothing brake hydraulic wise is available off the shelf.
  12. PM Modify, he lives in NZ but has Japanese contacts to bring stuff in.
  13. What was sold here had nothing to do with what was raced here back then. There actually was a model called a TE25, but I'm not sure of the differences between that and a TE27
  14. I think in the first instance I would contact CAMS http://www.cams.com.au/Sport/Historics/Historic_Contacts.aspx They would presumably be able to let you know about actual eligibility and any traps to be conscious of. I imagine the problem with Toyota is that they wouldn't necessarily have had an official link with cars that may have competed, and they may have not record of privateer cars that competed.
  15. You're not wrong. Sitting here it sounds like the roof is about to lift off. There is KE25 driven by a really old lady, she bought it new, see it regularly in my local shopping centre car park. Hers is the same colour and once again perfect. Offered to buy it and she says she is always getting offers to buy it. Unfortunately she has dinged it a few times recently. Plus there is 74coupe's old car, which i believe is heading north.
  16. Hmmmm yes well......... What is that colour. Every corolla I have seen that colour has held up real well. I really don't mind it at all.
  17. Jesus, how many cars have you got now? You are going to need to change your name to PMP 020 at this rate
  18. Being told to piss off from Spa. Oh dear. I'm betting you woke up next to this in the morning too, and had to fill it's bowl of kibble.
  19. You'll be pleased to learn, on the radio this morning, apparently VB is going back to the original recipe. They must have known you were coming.
  20. Clearly you have never driven in Melbourne! Italians have infinitely more road manners than the arseholes here. You excluded of course carbonboy. This has to be the awesomest holiday ever!
  21. Lovin it. Pics of barmaid?
  22. Yes, on both the stock & ARC box. Essentially this guy built an airbox that took up almost every available area within the engine bay. He had a version one that he later improved upon. With each increase, his air/fuel ratios would lean out I think, and he would head back to the dyno to correct. Heat was an issue of course. Interesting anyway. I think ideally the ARC box is meant to have a little bonnet scoop thing, but I won't bother with that.
  23. I notice if I put my ARC airbox on with the standard ECU, it completely bogs down. Then put the stock airbox back on, perfect. The ARC airbox is a group N item so should suit the TRD ECU perfectly. I saw an interesting article recently where some guy with an MX5 was working to achieve a perfect air/fuel ratio using a custom home built airbox. Essentially the bigger the box the better. He was able to then correct the air/fuel ratios at the dyno and got very impressive gains.
  24. There must be a build plate on the firewall with the chassis number?
  25. 14's are available in limited sizes in a performance tyre. I recently got some Dunlop DZSPZ1's (edit $195 each) which are available in a 185/60/14 or a 195/60/14. These are apparently popular with MX5 drivers. D83J's come in a 185/70/13. DZ03G's 175/60/13, 185/60/14, 195/60/14. The latter are a bit extreme for the road though, as are Advan A048's, available in smaller sizes. More mundane tyres are available, but again, it depends on your planned usage.
