  1. Was just chatting to him tonight and I know it didn't have a dealer sticker on it. He says if you want the original Victorian plates, PM me an address and he'll send them over.
  2. http://www.tccav.org.au/ I'm sure we would love to have you! Make sure you understand what is expected of you however.
  3. Yeah the rear quarters seals have been available for a year or so. Shame about the front quarter seals. Might need to take a template next time I get out to pickapart and see what looks close.
  4. I have heard an unsubstantiated rumour somewhere that some hilux model is pretty close?? Likely more accessible if correct. Vague I know, but perhaps worth looking at. If you find anything, please post it up here. I have seen the Phils rotaries rear quarter seals and unfortunately they haven't got the angle right on the rear most section which leads to puckering of the seal. Good on them for making the effort though.

Put something up in the 'Vehicles wrecking' sub forum within For Sale Car Parts. And also the Cars for Sale. I'm not sure that many people will see this here. And look at the build number on the firewall. If its a KE15 it will be worth a bit more than a KE10
  6. Not very much. Put it on ebay and see what you get
  7. And go to a different brake person as they have no idea what they are talking about. As above, you need the correct proportioning valve from a four wheel disc setup. I would be stunned if there is any variation in the master cylinder. At least you know you have a nice new master cyl however.
  8. Amen. Seriously, just don't do it.
  9. It doesn't have a dealer sticker on the back window does it? Desperately keen to get clear photo's and dimensions of original dealer stickers. I found out about this car one week AFTER it sold. Turns out it belonged to the father of my kids school friends, who live around the corner. Small world. He nearly died when by chance we started talking cars and he found out what I had and my slight fanaticism......
  10. Try properly bench bleeding the master first
  11. I recently bought one for the renault that was the same. Historically Ryco oil filters didn't have them until fairly recently. Still prefer Toyota filters for the Corolla's though. I recently picked up a period NOS Toyota filter for a 2TG in Japan, but I'm a bit funny about things like that. Will look good for a year till it needs changing! Perhaps I could wash it out and reuse. Who cares about engine wear when you have a nice blue filter =)
  12. So would this happen to be the white KE15 that sold at Shannon's in Melb a little while back????
  13. That is strikingly different isn't it. I was looking at mine on the weekend (different model) and was reassured that it looks well finished. Good effort putting up the comparison photos! The ebay one is truly crap in comparison to the real thing.
  14. Does anyone out there in Rollaclub land have any recommendations for someone to powdercoat four 14 inch wheels? They will need blasting first, but no need for bead repairs or anything. Preston area is convenient for work, wouldn't want to go too much further, but could stretch to Thomastown. Previously went to Yardmark in West Heidelberg who did a good job, but tried to shaft me on pricing, so not keen to go back there. Also went to a crowd in Blackburn once, but after 4 months of, "my dog died, my wife left me", I took my parts elsewhere before they got lost. Hence a recommendation would be good. From phone book I can see Bell Powdercoating, Raglan Powdercoaters & also Colourcoating Industries.
  15. Use multigrips to twist the washers off, then tap the cam cover fairly gently with a rubber mallet. You will need to replace the washers anyway.
  16. Have been waiting for a certain Trueno owning forum member to comment about the convertible he owned, and I don't mean the Yank effort..... I think it went to the great playhouse in the sky?
  17. Girlfriend had the ingratitude to fanny fart in my face once. Got rid of her.
  18. The proportioning valve is the part that controls brake bias
  19. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/60217-carroll-shelby-dead-at-89/ Imagine how much knowledge would have been locked away in that brain.
  20. They're the ones. This guy often has them too, quite a bit cheaper. Nice guy. Send him a message. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/holee138/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3984
  21. Available easy enough on ebay. 555 are made in Japan.
  22. I had a serious accident and wrote off my car. Lowered Datsun 1600. Girlfriend had a fractured jaw, depressed fracture of cheekbone. Not good This was while travelling at 100km hr in a straight line on a four lane freeway. There was water on the road and we spun off backward after driving through a puddle. Inexplicable. Police investigation found that a no name tierod end had collapsed. These days I will use 555 brand but nothing else. They are still available cheaply.
  23. No way, Shelby SCCA 2000GT would beat that anyday, or at least look better whilst trying.
  24. That's OK, if you PM me the details, I'll come by and exhibit it for you. I'll even wash it!
