The problem with the band breaking under the seats is a common problem with KE70 seats. Nothing that a good auto upholster can't fix.

Surely is time for an update, Matt cleaned up the steering column today ready for a fresh coat of paint and install. Not the most ideal weather to paint, Heat lamps for the win!

There are multiple reasons (1) In case for some weird reason he ever wants to go back to a cable clutch. (2) Less work involved to die grind a piece off the old cable clutch bell. (3) Engine bay is already painted, Don't want to make a mess of it if I can avoid it.

I've heard of people putting reed switches on the tailshaft i think to overcome this problem..

You have to change the ring gear and pinion on the diff centre. Depends what diff it is and if the ratios are available really..
