Thats one of the switches. I'm wondering what the other one does...

Can anyone tell me what the switches do on a KE70 5 Speed? I know one is for reverse which sits on the passenger side in the most rearward position, but there is one in front of that and one on top of the gearbox. What do these two mystery switches do? Cheers Raven

Today was spent removing the 5 speed from Valandor's Mrs KE70 and fitting up the 4 speed to it. Then I got back here and swapped the extension housings over. So I can safely say that yes, it was easy as and yes, I did take camera phone pictures (well, Nays did) of the whole process, which I'll upload to the wiki at a later date.

So comes the fun part. Mr CD_Rollaman and I pulled the gearbox out, and swapped over the flywheel and bolted the clutch back on today. Getting the KE70 5 Speed tomorrow and swapping the extension housings over so its in the factory location and bolting the box back in tomorrow night. So it effectively SHOULD be on the road next week, providing the clutch system works like its supposed to.

Pretty good effort I must say :S

Lol. Motor is too far gone to go and worry about fixing it. Have a massive front oil seal leak and it burns oil like there's no tomorrow, so it's officially off the road as of tonight. :jamie:

And the KE25 is off the road! Blown head gasket is the cause. Will be getting the panl van on the road ASAP.

There is another way and that is to get the adaptor plate form japan that hooks into the 4K-E dizzy :jamie: Should check it out. I'd link you but I've only seen them on the Yahoo! Japan auctions.

Hmm, had a quick read. Just wondering if anyone had actually done it. I have RA60 celica struts and brakes for up front which I think I'll use instead :jamie:

So these calipers are supposed to be straight bolt on? Can anyone confirm that they would also be suitable for a KE2x Corolla?

You mean Toyota Publica based on the KP-chassis. Possibly a Starlet gearbox? Or T-series? They would be my guesses....
