  1. I'm going to need an address for the place we're staying at too, so we know where we are going. :yak:

"Twas me and its not heavily bogged, its dodgy primer :yak:
  3. Fuel is sorted via a new fuel pump and the brakes are getting sorted out on Wednesday :yak: Still have to install the stereo, which I'll be doing on Tuesday/Wednesday, though I have Friday off, so I may finish it off then if it hasnt been done during the week.
  4. We'll probably be leaving early Saturday morning, around 3am, if thats cool with you? Usual meet spot is the Mobil Service Station on the corner of Glen Osmond and Portrush Roads, at say 2.30am, for the 3am departure. Its a 7 and a bit hour trip on the way through, which goes through Naracoorte, onto Mt Gambier, then through Heywood and on the way to Pt. Fairy.

    - Spotted that mustard KE25 with the black bonnet coming down cement hill at Brighton today - Ran into Smithius at U-Pull-It while I was getting my RT104 rims for the front that havent been redrilled.
  6. And.... the pump failed. Took it back and got a Goss aftermarket mechanical pump. Also changed the front wheels with new RT104 rims from the wreckers with half decent tyres.
  7. Again had the brakes bled after I changed the seized front right caliper. The shop also fitted line clamps too to check the brakes. Brakes were fine, until I left and then the pedal went all spongy again, which means I still have air in the braking circuit somewhere. This is all being fixed on Wednesday next week by SA Brake & Clutch. But today, I fitted an electric fuel pump, as I've been having vapour lock issues in hot weather. The pump works and I've started it in the driveway, but havent taken it for a run just yet. Idles a damn sight smoother though :y:
  8. Would've been Friday morning if she can get the time off, but will probably do the caving on the way back :y:
  9. Looks like we'll be travelling alone then and not together, as I was going to leave Saturday morning to hit Pt. Fairy around 12pm or so if the g/f can't get Friday off.
  10. Your only other option is a TA22 celica rear axle, shift the mounts and mod a tailshaft to fit.
  11. The KE2x diff depends on where it was assembled. Some had a Jap diff (mainly the Japanese built models that were sent over) and some had the Borg Warner diff (ones that were assembled here). You'll have a tough time finding a Borg Warner for your KE2x though. I'd contemplate getting a complete Jap rear end and tailshaft and swapping it over if I were you.
  12. ANd I was the one who took it :|
  13. See if another corolla key fits the one for your car. They're usually that worn out that another key will be able to turn it :|
  14. Do you want to remove the barrel from the housing or the housing completely from the steering column? Barrell from the housing requires you to turn the key to a certain point and push in the little button on the barrel to extract it from the housing.
  15. Ok, this is only next week. I've been contemplating whether I leave on the Thursday night to hit Naracoorte Friday morning and do a little cave exploration in the Naracoorte caves. I think this would be agreat idea, if not, we do it on the Monday or Tuesday (if anyone wants to stop over in Naracoorte for an extra night, that would be cool). Any takers on this one?
  16. Is that because you want to show off the photography I did of your car? :|
  17. I got a vapour-locked fuel pump and ended up stuck on the side of the road for about a half hour or so until the car cooled enough that my fuel pump would actually pump fuel. Grrr.
  18. Gah, I'm now fighting a vapour-locking fuel pump in hot weather along with dodgy brakes. Wish me luck over the next week!
  19. Also got mine today :y: Looks the goods yo!
  20. Rear valve is definitely there and I have the bias valve on the firewall too. Guess I'll see how I go with the caliper change.
  21. KE25/KE30 calipers are exactly the same brand named Sumitomo. I've compared the calipers with my other KE25 and they're the same calipers.
  22. It feels as if the brakes are dragging a little. I'll be swapping over calipers on Wednesday night and seeing if that helps anything.
  23. 1 - All brake lines have been replaced 2 - Air has been bled out, as I have a clear line with no bubbles 3 - ?? If you mean the anti-lock brake bias valve towards the rear, I've bled that via the workshop manual's instructions and again clear fluid 4 - All wheel bearings were retightened 5 - New straight rotors were put on the front and I've also noticed I get a massive groan from the front when applying the brakes and turning right that travels through the front end and up the steering column.
  24. generally the input shaft would have to be removed in order to remove that front oil seal. A workshop manual is going to be your best bet in this instance Tally-Ho :(
