  1. +1, Awesome idea.
  2. Wait...So P-Plates in Tas can drive anything?
  3. Are your discs really shiny? Glazed discs can do this to. Try getting them machined and cleaning your pads up like mentioned. Also, take the edges off the pads. This can be done on concrete, rub the pad on the ground in a figure 8 over and over again.
  4. Can I ask who you used? Doing the same conversion in Melbourne aswell.
  5. Are you measuring the inner diameter?
  6. I've been told numerous times from different guys at my work that it's the sidewall ply's dieing. Quite dangerous to drive on apparently. If we get a car with a tyre like that in for a service the tyre goes straight to the spare.
  7. I haven't played around much with aircons but I'm working towards getting my trainee A/C license so I can start working on them more. $250 doesnt sound that bad. I've watched guys fit aircon kits at work and I've never seen or heard of people pulling motors out to fit A/C's, but I suppose if it was that hard it would have been factory fitted, not dealer fitted. I probably can't help you much more than that but feel free to ask any questions and I or someone else will try to answer them. Cheers, Sian
  8. I saw Drapht the other night at the Prince Bandroom in St Kilda. He fkn killed it! Drapht is the man!
  9. Just get a kit from an AE101 with a 20v in it. No messing around then. People who buy halfcuts would usually just bin stuff like that, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding it. Ring a place that sells halfcuts aswell as they quite possibly will be able to help you out. Where are you located? I bought a AE101 20V silvertop half cut from Ichiban imports in NSW. Maybe give them a call? You should be able to install it with the radiator in, but don't quote me on that. Some or all of the dash will have to come out. Obviously you will need someone with an A/C license to gas it for you. If you're in Melbourne I can recommend a couple of wreckers.
  10. I'll do it for a slab.
  11. Go and speak to an engineer, they will tell you what you need to do to get it mod plated. It's not worth asking questions like this on a forum as everyone has different experiences with engineers and you will be getting info from people in different states etc.
  12. Late reply but... N'fa has a song on the M-Phazes album Good Gracious called Keep Running. It's a great track. Heads up for the Melbourne boys, Drapht (one of the best Aussie MC's around surely?) is playing at the Prince of Wales Bandroom on December 3. He's being supported by Briggs (NT) and Dialectrix. Should be a freakin awesome night! Also, I hope you guys get as much enjoyment out of this idea as I have. Melbourne MC 360 started up a competition that he called Rapper Tag. Basically an MC does a youtube video of a cypher and then calls up another MC at the end of his/her video. Check it out at www.rappertag.com. I think Briggs, Bias B and Suffa have been the best so far. Briggs killed it, can anyone hear/see the resembalance to Biggie? Cheers all, Sian
  13. Timing belt?
  14. That looks really good! I think bolt on flares would set it right off. Don't change the wheels, they are awesome already!
  15. Have you tried Scotts Old Auto Rubber? He's in Oakleigh in Melbourne, but I think he can ship around AUS.
  16. Oh man I'm jealous. I had tickets for this concert and the Melbourne Victory V Melbourne Heart game. The soccer got moved to the same night as this concert because of the AFL Grand Final. So I returned my ticket for the soccer, thinking this would be more worth going to. The night before the concert my mate who had the tickets said he couldn't find them. So ended up staying home and watching the soccer which victory lost anyway!! Dam you Heart! I was talking to a mate from work who went to the concert and he said it wasn't that good. He said everything seemed rushed and he couldn't hear any of the vocals. Spewing I missed out either way!
  17. Me and my brother were discussing this the other day. Best two we came up with were: A boxer block (yes, subaru) OR A block from a motor thats shot a conrod through the side, with remnants of rod/piston still attatched.
  18. Are you talking about the current generation hilux 4cyl petrol motor. If so it is a 2tr-fe. I think it would be hard to find a cheap one without lots of km's on it.
  19. If you're looking at a ZZE122 corolla for the love of god do not buy a South African made one. You can tell by the VIN and a few other things. They wear out brakes like no tomorrow. Plus they're just very poorly built. I think the VIN for the South African made ones starts with an SA but get someone to confirm this. Look for one with a JT VIN. Can anyone confirm? EDIT: Just looked at the date of the last post in this thread. Might be too late.
  20. Me and my brother went down to import monster yesterday. He bought these for his 1jz MX83. Work Meisters Front: 18 x 9 +35 with a 225/40 Rear: 18 x 10 +38 with a 255/35
  21. This thread is about Oz Hip-Hop as a whole, it is not a shit fight about selling out etc. However, you are entitled to your own opinion. Maybe just try to be a little bit nicer about expressing it. Cheers, Sian
  22. Can anyone tell me the master cylinder stud pattern/distance on the KE35 booster?
  23. Why shouldn't I knock the Aurion? I drive them almost daily. I don't want a car to drive for me, but I want a car that I enjoy driving, and am not fighting to keep on the road on hard acceleration. Redwarf has said the rest :fuzz:
  24. Try a wreckers?
  25. Well yeh toyota can be incredibly stupid. Take a car that already has horrible torque steer and strap a supercharger to it. They don't even have equal length drive shafts.
