Hrmm interest other than cars. I havent really had any other than cars for a while...but back when...
I played first XI cricket (first 11) in highschool. I was a pace bowler and generally sucked at batting.
I played inline hockey (like ice but on wheels) for 5 years. Tried out for state a few times. Never successful because we had such a strong state side. Then it started to get political so I told em to stick it where it fits and left.
Next year Ive decided to get back into "studying". I did TAFE last year but it was so simple and boring I lost interest, found I had all this freedom and dropped out. This year I did nothing, just trying to find some direction. SO next year I'm starting my CPL (commercial pilots licence). The industrys very compedative and its quite hard to find jobs as a pilot (although when you get a job you tend to keep it). I don't really care, its what I want to do, Its what Ive wanted to do for ages, its just that now I can see that I can achieve my goal. Alebit it will take a while...with training costing ~$40,000. So I'll probably be at it for 3-4 years. No matter, so long as I get there eventually. As for what kinda flying I want to do? don't really care, so long as Ive got a set of wings strapped to me.
Quite a while ago I was into aero modeling. A site my mate showed me last night, where these guys had build themselves a UAV from scratch promted me to start thinking about perhaps getting back into it (and toms RC boat). These guys wernt going to like 10,000ft. No...they were attaching this glider to weather baloons and sending it to upwards of 85,000ft where the sky is black and the horizon is curved. So it was pretty impressive.
