  1. Hey guys, I recently replied to a thread about creating this thread about a list of routes people like to drive when their in the mood. So basically you can either write about what towns and places you go through or do the next best thing and do what I've down for the first one, this is also helpful cause the google maps gives you the stupidest directions which are really hard to follow. This first one starts on Blacks Road in Flagstaff Hill Blacks Road - Turn right at end (Main Road) 2.59km - Turn left at Cherry gardens road 6.82km - Turn Right onto Ironbank Road 4.72km -Turn Left on Sturt valley Road (Caution this is a tight road) 1.82km - Turn Right onto Upper Sturt Road (Upper Sturt road turns into Waverley Ridge Rd) Go straight at first roundabout (turn off to free way is left) 4.42km - Turn right at the roundabout 260m - Turn left onto Piccadilly Road 1.11km - Turn left at roundabout onto Piccadilly road (again) 4.97km - Turn right onto Adelaide Balhannah Road (Greenhill road) 260m - Left onto Collins Road 2.52km - Turn left at T junction (Lobethal rd) 90m - Turn Right onto Monomeith Road 570m - Turn right onto Marble Hill road 8km - Turn Right at Corkscrew rd (turns into dead end if followed down) 3.7km - Turn right onto Gorge road 16.1km - Drive onto Adelaide Mannum Road to Gumeracha (BE CAUTIOUS THIS CORNER IS BLIND AND IF TAKEN QUICKLY WILL LEAD YOU ONTO A BUSY ROAD) 3.4km - Turn Right onto Victoria Street Victoria street turns into Lobethal Gumeracha road Turn Left onto Woodside Road Turn right on Ridge Road Turn left onto Lobethal Woodside road Turn right onto Onkaparinga Valley Road Follow through Woodside Follow through Balhannah Looks something like this: I will create another route starting from somewhere in the north so people don't have to drive 45 minutes to the start of every cruise. Enjoy!! Jono
  2. I had a bit of trouble understanding anything that you wrote, but saw that you read the unedited thread.... Could someone in admin clean this thread out , I mean we're corolla fans not f@$ken Duesenberg restorers..... Some people can't help with their spelling and when people first start in forums their going to forget certain pieces of information and not know what their talking about.
  3. Wrong section man....but Ke motorsports might still have one for $550 i think, he's in the site sponsers part, someone else has one for sale aswell.
  4. Took the ignitior thing apart and resoldered everything, but I reckon it's long gone. Just put in the points distributor in for the next couple of weeks, and hopefully the points last that long...then again their only $8.25 for new ones so. I have a programmable ignition system that can work on a reluctor pickup, might try that just for the hell of it.
  5. hmmmm....I think we should create a cruise thread, like a thread detailing good routes to take your car for a spin. Then when it comes to this sort of thing we can just vote on a certain one and go for it, I think the best thing to do is ask what people mainly want to do on this cruise....like hills, or a long trip to places like Murray Bridge or Victor Harbour, city cruise or coastal cruise.
  6. What does your mechanical knowledge extend to? Do you know what a spigot bearing is and where it is? (yes i know guys that read my replies i always bang on about that stupid bearing....)...anyway....if you could edit your original post to include what car this is happening to it helps quiet alot believe it or not. If your doing it in a Ke30, you could probably do the conversion in an hour and a half other cars I wouldn't know and also when I did the conversion in my ke35 I had to fabricate a gearbox mount.
  7. Full of cbf factor at the moment, thinking of putting the points back in just with the new setup. How long do you think points will last with a GT40 coil?
  8. It looks long but it didn't take me too long, bout an hour and a half (from memory) (even with me stopping to write down the turns and distances)
  9. 2 Weeks and I'll be 5king it up...have to find superman to make the world spin quicker.

    1. sliesh

      sliesh

found my self a 5sp so guess ill be 5k 5sping it up and can't w8 for us to go on a cruise sweet

Hell yeah, can't wait to get the twin Dellorto's on it aswell, should sound tuff as.

  10. Hell yes......in 6 months :lolcry:
  11. I'm not sure that will do it, i might open it up and try and get a soldering iron in there.
  12. OK ummm....the two arrows show what was loose, all the screws were tight.
  13. Yeah not $120 can get another dizzy cheaper than that....I think.....It's not really a cover, it's two parts one holds the little pcb and the metal bit holds the power transistor to act as a heat sink. So i think the soldered joints have moved but it's been specially built (on the cheap though, most probable anyway)
  14. Hey guys, I was having an intermittent misfire with my new dizzy in and now it's alot worse. Pulled it out and found the plastic cover to the ignitor part was loose and after pushing and what not it ran better but I reckon it needs replacing. I don't know what car it came off, I've pm'd the guy I bought it off but thought some people might know where I can get all new bits. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about: Cheers
  15. Yeah if you have some free time.
  16. Just had a look and there's no crack, and the old caps don't fit the new dizzy....just took it for a drive and it doesn't seem to want to idle after a little bit of driving.
  17. I'll have a look, but it's brand new
  18. Having some issues with it at the moment, something to do with the new dizzy maybe. Seems to be misfiring sometimes, and stalls at idle sometimes....be good for a minute then it will misfire like a bitch.
  19. WGMG - Lack of self motivation to work on ones car.....so many idea's....too much cbf factor.
  20. Cheers man, I might of spoken to soon. Might end up scraping it in the end, will see in time.
  21. Or I know someone that can install alarms systems pretty cheap, alarms that have a reminder beep to lock the doors..........
  22. How long have you had the car? I'm 6'3 and I can get in and out of my 35 with no troubles....
  23. I did that route in my ke35 and it wasn't in the best condition back then, you should be fine....and there will be people (hopefully everyone) taking it easy and just enjoying the day off and the rolla's. You might want to check that you can do this as it is fire season and inside a national park, some parks don't allow you to have an open flame or what not.
  24. hmmm....how bout this route...except with a different starting point: This post http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/44847-cruise/ BUT...I have a list of all turns and straights.....is a good mixture of turns and straights. And if you wanna go further we just add onto it.
  25. When I did the conversion we did it this way twice....damn spigot bearing but it was easy as cause there's only 4 bolts and you can align the gearbox on a bench and whack the whole lot in at once, and cause the gearbox's are fairly light you can just lift it into position with the engine on a hoist and on a bench. I can't really remember if we did this with the autobox or not though, it is much heavier than the manual one so....if yours is auto make sure you either undo the bolts that connect the torque converter to the flex plate or have a oil catch underneath that area while you disconnect it as oil will go everywhere.
