The Resistor across the ol air flow meter fooling the ecu into thinking that the air is always cold or something, 40% more power, but 50% more fuel effiency. I like the way they sell it though, the resistor is free but the installation manual is 40 bucks or something ;)

If you end up removing the original brakes i'll take them off your hands in a jiffy, will pay for postage....

ummm...those pictures are fairly unlcear but if it doesn't work with any of the doors open it could be the globe, if it works with the passenger door then the switch needs looking at. If its a normal globe and not a festoon you need to rotate it anti-clockwise to get it out. It doesn't really happen with interior lights but it could have corrosion on the metal part so just keep working it back and forth.

It has a dipstick, mine was on the left side of the engine close to the fire wall (looking at the car from the front)

Hey mate, don't know where your located, but i got my front windscreen rubber and that strippy thing for my ke35 from Rare Spares on south road, i'm pretty sure they supply all the other rubbers aswell

Hell Yes...W16 it up...might need to shave off the turbo's to fit though.....they make a W12 aswell....

I'm pretty sure you can get an aftermarket switch that has a built in intermittent, my ke35 doesn't have the intermittent so i was just going to put a seperate switch somewhere, should be a kit available from jaycar or dicksmith or something. Might look into that and actually give you some helpful advice :dance:

Yeah my first idea was mixture, i mean under heavy acceleration it smokes but thats pretty normal for a carby isn't it? And we did mess around with the carby settings after the rebuild to increase the idle speed, but may have accidently adjusted the mixture screw. I have the manual will try tune it tomorrow

alright, i recently rebuilt my 3k. Did the whole lot the head, the rings, big ends and all the seals. The thing is every time i start it after it's been sitting for a while it blows a little bit of smoke, but it didn't do it straight away. The car has done about 800km's since the rebuild and can't think of anything. I forgot the colour of the smoke will update tomorrow but just wanted to see what people might think it is, a guy at work said it could be the valve guides, but that kinda means that the place that rebuilt the head didn't do them...please help....oh and i don't think it matters but i'm running this thicker oil stuff 25-50w i think

Hate to steal the thread a little bit, but with this fuel cut off solenoid it stops fuel from entering the engine when the igntion is switched off. My question is i'm about to put a weber carby on my 3k, and it doesn't have a fuel cut off solenoid, do i need to bother if the mixture, idle and timing are all correct?

What year sportivo is it? If its a later model, and you haven't already looked into it, you should look into a workshop with a scan tool. Then they'll be able to test most of the electrical and test actuators and stuff like that. Otherwise try another ecu and see if that works, i mean if you can find one

ooooppss...had a closer look at the picture, a breether hose connects onto that and goes into the bottom of the air cleaner, the setup you got there is illegal i'm pretty sure.

Thought i'd put an update in, going to do a seperate thread for it but just reading some stuff and have some answers. got a MAP sensor from a vr i think from u-pull-it for 8 bucks :wink: bit better than a few hundred, also another member is sending me a locked dizzy so should be setting it up next weekend hopefully, along with a weber maybe. Also have done a graph in autocad, but the previous pictures supplied and the manual don't line up so i'm just going to set it up for 8 deg at idle and slowly ramp it up to 25 deg at 3000 rpm, then refine in as i drive along. The Vacuum is easy, just have to map out 15 points of vacuum from 3.94 in. Hg to 8.66 in. Hg except in bar :hmm: .

Just remember though that the cheapo's haven't been through testing and things like that, which make them illegal. Was going to get a cheap one for my first car and the guy in the shop said each legal steering wheel goes through like $10,000 of testing, thats why they cost 400 bucks

um...there's this stuff that this guy at work talks about all the time, he used to work at McClaren in england it's called 'alcantara'. it's used in the new lambo's interior, i felt the stuff and am going to try and gt my steering wheel done

hey, this is a really old topic but instead of starting a new one i'll just ask here, i have the same problem and i was going to do the same thing (grind down the caliper) but EVERYone i spoke to said no. There are no galleries behind there, but a guy said that its there to stop excess vibration and noise. Anyway, on my rim it needs a 5mm spacer (i know dodgey), there is the option of getting the wheels machined but that has a high cost. Um....sorry but next time could you start another topic, it's confusing me to who people are answering to....i'm getting a wheel balance and alignment tomorrow afternoon, oh and i can feel a very faint wobble when the suspension moves. As in i go over a bump or something. Another question is when i go over the sewer cover things the car seems to move arouund a bit, like jump to the side or something, should i just replace the shocks and the front springs then see how i go? on a bit of a budget now :lolcry: so yeah

Wheels were balanced in october i'm pretty sure, but like i said it only did it with other people in the car, the steering wheel was moving like 1-2 inches around

Hey guys, i recently put some dragway rims on my Ke35 and the first test drive showed that the car needs a wheel alignment. But i've been a bit slack and left it, but its been driving fine, actually alot better than before. But last night i had two other people in the car and the steering wheel (and entire front end) randomly wobbled badly at speeds of a bout 40-50 then i'd stop and it'd be fine, then it would do it randomly again. so i dropped one person off, and it did it less, then dropped the last person off and i was able to drive with no problems, and this was going through 80 zones. Just to let you know the front still has the old springs from the auto to manual conversion on it, so the front sits higher and also i'm running a 4 or 5mm spacer in the front, cause the rim hits the caliper ;)

You could lock it and go an electronically controlled ingnition system, just requires some electronics skill, excellent for you want to do.
