  1. Lol nuh man...that was just in the instructions...i was going to fit the ignition system on the weekend but stuffed up the input voltage setting for the coil driver....and after bending the power transistor once then again it broke, so now i need to get another one, i'll post up how it goes soon. Also looking at making my own injection system but have to research a bit first
  2. Awesome, thanks man.
  3. Where exactly does the vacuum guage go? Me and my dad rebuilt the bottom end and i got a company to do the head...and i did the carby
  4. Hey man, i'm not to sure about tac welding, but for an electronic ignition kit that i've got puts a washer in there to stop the weights from moving
  5. Well actually thats a bit interesting cause i got the whole motor rebuilt, including the head but you say worn valve guides. The reason i say thats interesting because it blows a little bit of smoke after its been sitting overnight which is a sign of the valve guides, which makes it even more interesting when i got a complete head rebuild...might try the vacuum guage
  6. Hey guys, got a problem with my 3k at idle (well i think its only at idle), basically i've rebuilt the motor about 2500km ago and just rebuilt the carby on sunday because of flat spots and hesistation and stuff. But even before the rebuild (of the carby) the engine doesn't seem to idle smooth at all, a mechanic said the 3k is a really smooth motor and can run down to 400rpm but mine barely does 800....the rebuild was completely stock (so no bigger cam or pistons) the only thing i can think of is the timing chain is 1 tooth out or something.....and when i say "i think its only at idle" i mean i don't think its producing as much power as it should and yes i know 1.2L is not a power machine when stock but still something is a bit weird, any thought?
  7. Just thought i'd say CTRL + F to search a whole page for single letters or words JiP
  8. Jeez another awesome place in queensland....damn it DAMN IT TO HELL :blinks: :lolcry:
  9. No, i had it so you have to use the key to unlock the steering and also apply power to the circuit. The drawing i've got is in autoCAD, so i'd have to do another one in paint, let me know if your interested and i'll whack one up But i mean, with any early corolla the plug for the ignition is just behind the plastic cover, so if someone actually wanted to steal it they could anyway
  10. Straight away i'm going to say use relays, seen a setup on a VW where they ran the feed for the acc, on and start through a switch and the wires kept melting off. I did a push button start on my pajero with a either a couple of switches for acc and on and another switch for start. What car are you doing it to, cause when i do my e35 i'm going to put a seperate acc switch cause the original doesn't have an acc position just an ignition position. I've got a wiring diagram that will help you, will upload later today
  11. I don't know much about worked, but after telling people i'm putting a 45dcoe sidedraught on my 3k, they said i should of done the cam and done a port polish or something like that, like a bigport.
  12. OK, just rang RealPort Trades and they supply for both commercial and private sales, normal 3mm² 30m rolls is about 10.50 a roll and 100m rolls are $36.50. But the trace wires (white/black, red/black etc) only come in 100m rolls at $36.50 a roll 5/, 7 Streiff Rd, Wingfield, SA, 5013 Phone: (08) 8260 6355 I'll post this in the SA's recommended list, Haven't bought from them yet but the guy was really helpful over the phone
  13. Mine cost me more than that, i think mine was about 270 for a single sidedraught weber....did you say your linkage kit was $230?
  14. Thanks man, i messaged my old boss and he said Realport traders on the corner of south and grand junction road supplies my old workplace, but i don't know if they do private sales. Will give them a call tomorrow and one of us should have atleast one supplier
  15. Yeah they do linkage kits as well, was looking at some earlier today because i bought some from ebay and it was a pretty dodgey kit. See if this works: http://www.redlineauto.com.au/products/cat...y_list/ACEMIMKE has the link to botht the kits and manifold, but doesn't have pictures of the linkage kit.
  16. hey man, i got a side draft manifold for my 3k through sprint auto's who just order it from redline, so i think any place like sprints will get one for you
  17. Any update on this mate? cause i want to re-wire my e35 with electronic ignition and all that and really need 3-5mm² wire
  18. Ok cool, thanks for the response.
  19. Hey, didn't know where to put this so i'll put it in here. I really need to ask a moderator or someone like that, but i'm starting uni this year and have a trade in auto electrics, for part time work i was thinking of posting my details so that i can see the amount of interest i would get in doing auto electrical work. Because i'm fairly sure i can't just post up my information, something to do with advertisement or something like that. Reading this back i don't know if it makes sense but you should know what i mean. thanks jono

    Spotted

Spotted a white ke30 on south road near mitsubishi at about 10:15
  21. I've been reading quiet alot of these posts and seen alot of this sort of thing going on. Can't you lock the topic and privately message the person in question, this way heaps of other people won't be able to give their opinion. This is a forum, people come here for help, not on how to spell and how to be grammatically correct.
  22. try that
  23. i think you might of quoted the wrong person, but yeah that road. If your into semi legal off roading theres a nice little spot near Hahndorf, see if this works http:// http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&sou...016512&z=17 Oh and after reading SLO's last post, nothings going to change with or without these instructions. If they said we'll shoot you on site for accelarating at a certain rate, people would still drive like knobs. So long as its safe you might as well help people out
  24. is that the one off dyson road on the left heading south...if it is my mate got bogged in a patrol in there :)
  25. And what happens if you come across a cop that's having a bad day, it does happen cars just pulled over and defected....but then again why do people act like shit heads on suburban roads, and why do burnouts they don't achieve anything. Go out on the freeway for 10 minutes and turn onto a country road and go hard. I agree with you, we do need a place where we can go, but you won't get it for free. Think of the insurance cost, in Rovers (older scouts) we have a "sandblast" which is like a cheap mans rally and there are so many rules to deal with insurance.
