Medicine_Man Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 Teddy's KE70 is now sporting a set of rare JDM TRD KE70 power mirrors we found. Cleaned up the mirror housings today and gave them a coat of paint. Now all that is left is to wire them up to the switch :P Quote
Teddy Posted November 24, 2007 Author Report Posted November 24, 2007 mmm heres the switch, its before we reco'd it tho. I don't even think justin took an after pic of it; will get a new one. :P Quote
demuire Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 TRD made mirrors? How are they different to non-TRD ones? Nice work :P Quote
Nitephyre Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 (edited) This thing is going backwards from Factory New to Concept Car :P Edited November 24, 2007 by Nitephyre Quote
Medicine_Man Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 They are electric mirrors, You adjust them via the switch, All can be done via the drivers seat. Teddy has so many modern luxuries now he won't know what to do with himself when it is on the road.. Quote
love ke70 Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 TRD mirrors don't make objects in the mirror appear smaller than they actually are. they actually make objects in the mirror smaller :P Quote
Trev Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 I was looking at elecric mirrors for my sedan on ebay a while back and i think the cheapest was 250, What did these ones cost you, That switch isnt an originial E7 one is it? Quote

Teddy Posted November 30, 2007 Author Report Posted November 30, 2007 Update teiimmmmeeee !!!!! Yesterday was a long day, thats for sure. Started at about 7:30 for work, finished at 4:30. 4:30 to 8:30 was fixing, taping and restoring engine wiring looom. 8:30 to 11:30 was puting oil pickup on motr, sealing sump, waterpump pully on, crank pully on, clean rail and TB, loosly put on tapet covers, line up and put dizzy in, clean motor, serch workhop for middle cam cover plastic that some C*nt has walked off with. guh... Today, motor will be going up to see car, again. Its going to have to get painted, and other things added to it before it can go back in. But ive been at it all week, and its close enough now. Motor will not be running this weekend. Update later today. Quote
Raven Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Come on Teddy. Stop fiddling with your diddle and hurry up already  Quote
Medicine_Man Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 Well Teddy's Motor is back up at our place getting the last of the bits fitted before we throw it back in.. Matt spent a fair bit of today cleaning up the intake manifold, TVIS plate, throttle body and fuel rail. I painted the block, Painted water pump housing, Fitted the oil pressure sender, cleaned/painted and fitted the dipstick tube and water bypass lines, Fitted a few of the water lines, Fitted the drivers side alternator/engine/gearbox mounts. Somewhere along the lines someone has stolen Matt's middle cam gear/timing belt cover, So if you work with Matt and you stole it Karma is going to get you big time... Matt also appears to have left the other engine mount at work, So engine can't go back in until we have that.. Next weekend should see the motor back in again.. Quote
Trev Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 If you get stuck for a valley cover let me know and i will be able to help you out. Quote
