Hey Rolla fans. recently decided to get a ke70 wagon. love the way they look but wasnt too keen on the small 4k engine. was thinking about putting a 4age motor with a k50 gearbox etc in. i've seen a lot on this site going around and just wondering is it a legal conversion? or one that is really hard for police to pick up on? I'm from S.A. Would really like if someone could give me some help. cheers, claudio

AE82 CSX (Luxury :S ) 4A-C 3 Speed Auto 127,200 kms :P Tiny Canadian flag and cracked Vancouver stickers on the back windscreen :( Just got her back to Melbourne and washed it. Goes in for RWCert first check in the morning. Also paying the reg after work. Bought it off a guy who inherited it when his mother passed away 18 months ago. The furthest his mum ever drove it was from Leongatha to Kyneton in 1995. She bought it brand new in 1985. Since I blew the motor in my car (AE71 daily see sig) this will get me around while I respray it and put the good motor in. Time to drive like a Grandma;) .

Thought i might aswell post up a thread for my rolla, Basicly I'm buliding this thing to be an allrounder car that i can drive everyday but i also want it to skid. anyways i bought it in march stock as a rock then i did some cheap suspension stuff cut commodore springs in the front and cut falcons in the back and got some cheap wheels for it. the paint on it was pretty crappy so on one sunday afternoon we started priming it, without realising how big the job actuly was haha, so then it came off the road for a bit to get a make over it handeled ok but needed some decent shocks so i upgraded the front properly The front now has Ae86 Struts…

I picked this up from shepparton victoria this morning after buying it off eBay for $610. It drove the 3.5 hours almost flawlessly. Lets see, It appears to have some type of king springs in the front they are yellow and new, new shocks. a 2" sports exhaust, it sounds really really good, except it drones a little at 95km/h. a 5k, unknown mods, goes like a shower of shit compared to any 4k I have ever driven, stock carby, ke70 radiator. Needs a new diff I think, something is grinding in the back end, it I think is a stuck brake shoe, or f*cked bearing, will see when that comes. 1st gear syncro is shot. will crunch if not put back into first very gently. …

FIRST POST got this bluetop 4age powered seca with a green sticker on it (like a yellow sticker but from a dealership) and have plans to make it into a khannacross beast! not much wrong with it mechanically wise. still runs quite strong with 350 000 + kms on the clock, has a cracked windscreen and dodge paint (which came up suprisingly shinier after a buff with motor oil) so at the moment just weight stripping it, taking out the rear seats, rear trim etc. depending on how she goes prob put in a rollcage. hopefully this car should be really competitive. might be a bit tall in the gearing but oh well. not sure if we're taking the exhaust off yet... prob keep i…

Well i thought it was time to start up a project thread and let you all know what I'm upto and what my plans are. I Have 2 Ke's Sitting in my driveway, my old ke55 which i was running with the standard 4k and 4 speed combo, and decided to die on me one night, since that night, it has not been started or moved, it's been close to a year now. its got a near overrated interior, Its been resprayed a few years back before i got it, so its fair decent. The other is my KE30, which I've only had for 4 days or so, It's got a 5k engine with a 5 speed box behind it. its currently nopt running because it needs carbies reconditioned and fluids flushed and a few gaskets replace…

So, some of you may or may not know i bought the deep dish wheels off Phatke30 which were originally Littleredspirits wheels that were sold last year. Well....i bought them without rubber and it just so happened that my dad wasn't happy with the new tyres on his 1965 HD holden ute, so he said i could buy them off him when he sourced some bigger tyres. The tyres that came off the ute are 205/60/R13 Federal Formoza FD1's http://www.federaltyres.com.au/fd1 Although they are a family car tyre, they look quite mean on the smaller rims :y: So heres some pics....warning - may need a towel handy. :hmm: Yes, the fronts stick out a little too much so i will hav…

Hey everyone, I'm new to the Rollaclub forum. Short story about how I got myself into this. Few months back, was looking at owning my first car. Thought of the Corolla and really liked the aesthetics of the AE82 - AE94. Thought maybe I could find something to work on. So after 2 months of "research" (not comprehensive enough I would think), got myself an AE94 CSi Ltd (for about a week now). She's done about 290k and still runs pretty good. Got her for a decent price with my savings. Before getting her I already knew some restoration was needed and I was prepared to do it. Thought it would be a good learning experience for me to get down and dirty with the car. But lookin…

This is my KE 11 4 Door which i've had stored for over 2 years. Just a new battery and of she went. Carby needs a overhaul and the front seal in the box is leaking, other than that everything else seems fine. This car is a 1970 model, 1200 3K, 2 speed Toyoglide, factory tinted glass, front discs, stainless roof gutter trim, fully reclinable front seats ( same as KE 15/17's ) and a small rubber trim that goes around the headlight surounds which i've never seen on any other KE1# series Corolla. Also the car has never had a heater fitted which tells me it was most likely imported not sold new in Australia. I have been able to trace back NSW registration to the early 80's…

Needed a daily so got myself a slanty KE70. Wanted a KE30 but someone beat me to it. -.- Found this rig owned by a 24 year old female, whose grandparents had owned it before her. The car had been named 'Carol'. It's got a bit of rust in the normal spots, paint fade all over it and a few love bumps. But it has working aircon! It's a 4 speed, 4k hicam, if that means anything haha. Interior is crap, tan colour with the original AM/FM radio which barely works. The engine has only just been run in with only 278,000KM on the clock; original engine and everything :D The car is completely stock, with the only additions being a pair of faded tan seat covers and aftermarke…

Planning some work on my KE55, time for a build thread. Here goes: I bought this stock as a rock KE55 a few months ago, and have been pouring time into learning how everything works and repairing whatever issues spring up. So far, I've changed the stock carby to a 32/32 weber off a fiat 500 (or similar), given it a thorough tuneup, done a couple of suspension bushings, etc. and changed the clutch after it exploded when I was interstate. It's developed a decent misfire, and I've diagnosed this as a piston ring issue. The motor also has just on 200k kms on it. I figure if I'm going to take the motor out to fix it, I may as well change it for a 5k! I…

hey guys thought id post some pics of my AE92 corolla seca. i have done few mods such as guages steering wheel and a basic sound system, still need to get subs and amps though, i just recently bought a SX seca spoiler which i will be stripping the paint off and respraying the same as the body of the car.. will do that when i get the paint and time. just recently i rebuilt the carby and replaced the inlet manifold gasket, goes a fair bit better than it did before i did that. I will be getting an exhaust with extractors in a few months so that should help things out a bit further. Future mods will be a 4age 16V or 20V conversion which i will be building myself as soon as i …

Ciao from Athens! I want to share some pics of my red diva with the community. She was bought a couple of years ago from a mariner who drove her rarely and was stored most of the time in his garage. She has about 130.000 km on speedo, the interior and engine bay are in like new condition, completely rust free wheels, engine bay, around the chassis and inside the trunk.. Maintenance wise, just the basic stuff: upon delivery I replaced the oils, filters, spark plugs, contact points, rear diff oil, fitted new tyres and some water cooling lines which looked not good to the eye and to the touch (more like a preventive action). I rarely use her for daily city commu…
