  1. Your best bet is to try to find an ignition only ECU. Lock the dizzy and then you can have whatever ignition curve your heart desires.
  2. don't worry about the second port. You can use either one. Block it off it it puts your mind at ease.
  3. Yes mooooooorrreeeee c-c-c-c-coffeeee!! I think that you should pour the hot water in with the sugar to coffee ratio of 2:1 (S/C), but at this stage DO NOT add the milk! Now you go to the toilet and when you are all done head back to the tea room, grab a biscuit and pour in the milk. That way you don't get any uncouth bits in your brew! Then return to your desk and inform us how it went down.
  4. Do whatever the hell you want to do with it. In your mind you have already made your decision, you just want assurances. Don't be a lemming!
  5. It's not just the floats and vents you have to worry about when sealing up a carbie, the main reason most carbies have to totally covered is because sealing throttle shafts are damn near impossible. Some seal kits are available but mainly for Holley carbs. I tried getting some seal kits for Webbers but the bloke at the shop said don't bother as they are getting so rare and expensive you might as well buy a carb suited to turbo because even with the seal kits they don't guarante a 100% seal. He told me if you want a turbo car just go out and buy one..... But what would be the fun in that?
  6. Someone say Publica? Found at a wrecker near Eudunda SA
  7. There was two different sizes of rods, sounds like your rods are the longer ones. Can't remember off the top of my head of the actual lengths between the two.
  8. Hmmmmmm imagine gearboxes and diffs made with 4130 steel....... Would never break! And it would be a challenge for the backyarder to weld them!
  9. Ah it's that game is it! Well I would prefer Inconel 625 in a high strength situation and for some bling bling + actual strength and usability Iridium would be the go!

So there is a shiteload of things you can do to the rolla. You just have to look.
  14. You have mutch to learn.................................................... By the way the 5AGE was a TRD special, so good luck finding one in the country let alone SA.........
  15. The "Search" function and the "FAQ/Wiki" tab at the top of the page are your friends. You should aslo trawl through AE82.net
  16. Results have come in that show he had a blood-alcohol content that was more than twice the legal limit when he crashed.
  17. Lol don't getr angry, get EVEN! Use some of her clothes that she hasn't worn in a while as oil rags. Then make the excuse that you haven't seen her wearing them and assumed.... RUBBISH!!!!
  18. With very easy/minor mods you can mix and match the mounts. Just have to drill two new holes in the mount to match.
  19. The AL20 is not a 4x4, it is a FF. The AL25 was the code for 4x4.
  20. Basically all you need to do if find: Constant power - This will have the battery voltage on it regardless of ignition switch. Switched 12V - This source should only go active when the ignition is switched to "Accessories" Earth - Usuallly the black wire, connect it to the chassy. The colours for the power wires always vary so do not trust what you read. You NEED a multimeter to detect voltages on wires. Speaker wires should always be reffered back to the manual or in colour "pairs". ie Green & Green/Black would be one speaker. and following that type of colour coding. More oftern than not the manual is your best tool.
  21. WGMG = Spending an entire day with my brother helping him change the gearbox on an R31 whilst under a froklift in the mud. Only to discover that he now wants to get a different gearbox. Took us an entire day because we had to get the flywheel machined, bellhousings changed and tailshaft changed over. And now he wants a different gearbox??? !!!
  22. I think that the problem will be that the celica is a East West motor, so you might not have the engine bay space in a KE10/11. I might be wrong but untill some measurements are made I think it may be too wide. You would probably also want a 2 litre motor for 4x4 as I don't think that the 4AGE in an NA form has enough torque to be quick with that setup. Or just go turbo. Or just use the GT4 engine and driveline. The corolla AWD wagon that you are thinking of is the Tercel SR5 4x4 I believe. That would be the one to go for as it is a North South orientation BUT.... The driveline itself wouldn't be able to take too mutch power but I am probably wrong on that.
  23. If you have the money, time and skill go for it. It has been done before, but at high cost. You would aslo not be able to register it on the road.
  24. May I ask what series magna you got the dizzy from?? The ones i have found are the chopper blade type ones with the Hall effect sensors. Also how did you modify it to fit? The gear spins in the wrong direction, well that on the Hall one anyway.
  25. The BRM loudpass is actually my desktop startup sound :P http://www.billzilla.org/BRM-loudpass.mp3 Crank that volume!
