  1. As long as they both flow air in the same direction ie, front fan turns anti-clockwise and rear turns clockwise, Keeping the main airflow towards the engine bay so cool air is running through the radiator. Are they running on a temp sensor or switch?
  2. Gassless mig, ozito mwr-090. It was cheap and seems to work well for what i need. I just need to get some hours under my belt and all shall be good
  3. We can't make it sorry, hopefully after the new year we may be able to sort something out
  4. Progress is slow in the build. I've been purchasing parts as i go and almost have the full list. Need: metal engine mount brackets (rwd) alternator surge tank gearbox adapter plate loom Then it's ready to be put in  I also cracked out the welder last weekend to have a go at repairing some rust. I'm not the best welder and that showed in my work. Hopefully i'll be getting a helping hand by some mates who are planning on teaching me right, so i can do it myself. Those who have me on facebook will have seen the pictures
  5. I've been done for it in QLD, so id imagine it would be the same in vic as your rules are pretty anal compared to ours
  6. Ive seen this in action, not a bad rig. Well scored mate!
  7. Sooooo um kinda a little update. Sold off many parts of the car in the mindset that I was selling the whole thing. The buyer didn't show and I was left with pretty much a stock car and cash money. So on the weekend i went and purchased: 16v small port t50 clutch x-members cables tail shaft to suit loom and ecu (on the way) Mig welder grinder wire wheels sheet metal With that in mind you can kinda guess where I'm going. I'm looking forward to the rebuild, re-rego and the feeling of driving a corolla of my own again. Pics are boring so I'm just going to write very long paragraphs from now on
  8. Better than bare, but still not as good as paint IMO. Have you something in mind to stop the rust or are you just going to let it mellow?
  9. no way! they will not fit without major mods. I just fitted 14x7 -2's to a ke70 last weekend. It still needed a slight roll and a stretched tyre to fit. EDIT: I can see your from QLD. The cops are cracking down on wheels atm and are taking cars off the road for *poke* do yourself a favor and just get something cheap and useful for daily uses say 14x6.5/7 or 15x6.5 with low positive offset.

Congrats dude! nice to see the wait has payed off. love the plans!
  11. I don't see where everyone is getting this info? they fit straight into 70's
  12. The fronts will fit fine, not to sure about the rears tho
  13. damage? or are you letting the panel get the rusty effect?
  14. FFS girls, The car no longer exists in that form, and the original owner will probably never visit this site again. not to mention it was over 6 years ago. I know it's Monday but lighten up a bit
  15. At least when you do see it again you can take pride in your work! Many sad panda's
  16. This thing is bitchin' love it! I've herd rumors you're on the coast as well? would be very keen to see this on road once all is done. Keep it up
  17. Why are they not burnt yet?
  18. If the impact caused that much damage to your sump, what happened to your front end suspension and steering components? Just a thought if you want have a once over of that too or get a new wheel aliment to help stop this thing occurring again. As stated before, go for the engine crane idea with everything unbolted. Get the car as high (safely) as you can as it will help you in the long run. Best of luck
  19. ohhh now i get it. Should be sweet as it runs through the old 55 holes with the inner most bolt bored out to suit. Ill get some pics up tomorrow with all the stuff and it may be found helpful for others using 86 setups in 55's
  20. Sad news dudes, Car was defected on Wednesday night. As a result it will be put into storage for a year or two. Hopefully it will return with rebuild and engine upgrade.
  21. Sweet as, ill have a measure up tomorrow and post results Was that question directed at me?
  22. Ill jump on this band wagon, saves starting a new thread. If I've modified my 55 strut towers and now are running 86 tops, will an 86 brace fit? or should i look for a adjustable one to account for slight differences?
  23. Friday arvo roadies sorted!
  24. No sun to show how epic the wheels are!
