  1. You should have yelled out luke!
  2. She was there alright, tucked right up the back :) More photo's coming dude, it has a great interior so intend on keeping it smick and having detailed photo's. I have noticed there is very limited info and photo's for this model so I'm trying to take as many as i can and upload for future reference. First plan of attack this weekend is to raise the rear end, just to the king springs. Police are hammering p plater's on the coast atm so I'm trying to keep this on the road legally
  3. Should have guessed haha here's a snap from AJD not even 24 hours after i picked it up!
  4. I have a spare set yeah dude, but I'm keeping to do my own coily upgrade later on down the track, if i find any cheap at a wrecker up here want a yell?
  5. Hey all, After a while away from the car scene I made the decision I was going to downgrade my current car (vw golf) and get back into an old reliable Toyota. I was after a clean, stock as possible looking car as I'm currently STILL on my p's. Obviously it had to be cheap to run and parts somewhat common. So my quest lead me through the forums and even onto the old gum tree where i found this. From first glance it looked a winner, Clean and cheap. But it was not until after i handed over the cash i truly appreciated how well this car had been looked after. Original papers from purchase, original manuals, handbooks, tool kit from Toyota and the receipts of work done to the car in previous lives. I must give a shout out to the two guys that previously owned this in Toowoomba, and did most of the work to it. Specs: 1981 xt130e corona cs 1x Starfire engine (holden) 4 speed manual white in color lowish Whitewalls original interior I have not got a chance to get any new pictures of the car itself but these should hold you guys at bay till i get around to it Hayden
  6. Holy Jesus, Ben your keeping this world a better place
  7. An inch to short I'm guessing? I had a mate put one onto his ke70, pretty straight forward. He had to shorten it by cutting it in the center then trimming 50mm or so off each side than plastic welded it back together. In your case you may have to buy another on to add length to it via the same way
  8. Geez you love to get stuck in! Let us know how that double flaring tool goes
  9. *awaits reeds bulk photo dump* It was a good day, shame we could not stay longer
  10. Go for a 5k mate, it's better bang for your buck. if you want more power after that, modify the 5k
  11. Not a terribly hard job to do but: 1. This engine swap will not comply with the P plate laws in any state unless you somehow get an exemption (almost impossible). But you could grind the 5k engine numbers off and replace them with your old 4k ones if you are keen to have it in and somewhat legit if a cop pops the hood. 2. every thing that bolts on a 4k, will bolt to a 5k. mounts, gearbox, manifolds clutch and flywheel ect. 3. k50 is the box your looking for, should be one around in the for sale section for around $150 4. tips: if you have not done much engine work before get someone who has to help you take the old out and put the new in. see if any rollaclub members are in your area willing to give a helping had (many know the k series engines inside out and can deal with anything that may arise). my tips are to: 1. Take the gear shifter out for ease 2. label all your vac hoses 3. take the radiator out when doing the swap 4. engine crane, makes the job go along without too much hassle Anything else just search the forum, most questions you need answering have been answered before, you just need to find them
