  1. Sweet cheers! It does not have rocker adjustment from what i can see....
  2. Interesting! what model car was it fitted to?
  3. Turns out the 5k's head gasket was blown between cyl 3 and 4, i guess that is why it was running like a for prong rotor. Good news is the head has been port and polished and the valves are in top condition. pistons look the goods too. I'm thinking i have a deep dish 5k on my hands as the pistons are a lot deeper than my rebuild kit replacement's if someone can confirm this with to pictures below i would be very grateful. So my plan now is to get some gaskets together, put her all back together with existing parts, lighten the flywheel, and stick her back in the car, then concentrate on the bodywork and rear end setup. NEED MORE CASH MONEYS!
  4. Hey dudes I'm looking at getting some work done to my 5k, had a look through the yellow pages and such to find a machinist, but i would like to see if anyone has used someone locally recently and are stoked with their work? Looking for someone in the Gold Coast area Cheers Hayden
  5. Great news! we all go through stages with our cars, but it's those who stick at it that get the best results
  6. Google it before you ask, may contain your answer.

    Spotted Qld

p plater Uni babe in mustard ke20, newmarket, Thursday lunchtime.
  9. http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/02/10/guest-blog-gt-gt-midnight-mechanics-ae71.aspx Same rims? on another note, taken a ride in that beast. lost my shit :laff:
  10. Pistons are called endroutec, purchased them off a private seller so i have no idea sorry. I don't think the rims would look better if they suited, having drum brakes on the rear and the open plan of the starshark rims would look very weird. Meshies would not be an option as i have very limited specs to run on the front. a 10mm slip on the rear will make me happy
  11. Rims need more elbow polish
  12. Will be a JDMST tonight, lets get a few rc's down there

    Spotted Qld

Spotted Thursday: White ke38 wagon, stock as a rock looking a little worse for wear out the front of archers smash repairs. hopefully some love is on the books for her Today: white ksev with primer patches all over, low as they go, nice and wide wheels..... sounded 4age? stickers up driver side windscreen and possibly a cage. Would love a closer look if your on the site! Was in the 55 and 38 at the lights opposite
  14. What theee f@$kkk? anything in the pipeline?
  15. Spend 150 on a 4k, drop it in. If your not happy with the power, save for a 5k, 7k or complete conversion There is no point working a 3k if you can have a 4k for the price of a set of extractors
  16. How deep have you looked into the conversion? If you have decided on a front end setup then this would almost give you your answer. S13 front, coils, lca, brakes = 180 x-member Ae86 front, coils, brakes, toyota lca's = KE x-member to be modified Spend just as much time researching the conversion as you plan to work on the car. The forums are your friend
  17. Well Well Well.. Alot has happened since the last update, More engine drama's and Picked up some goodies  So the low down atm is the car is running, Good old 4k power The 5k i have will be rebuilt to be put into the rig at some point late this year, early next, no rush at all. Looking for a nice tough NA k engine to keep things moving. Evan G's little thread of the sparkling 5k really inspired me to learn more about the engine internals and what not so for the most part i will be assembling the engine. Should be a nice learning curve for myself. Below is rebuild kit 20thou, VRS kit, Seals and Gaskets, Just got Brand new fuel pump and water pump on the way.
  18. Looks awesome dude! are yop planning to blend in the front lip too?
  19. Looking good Gav, keen to see this on the road soon and cruising
  20. Filling you car to the brim with a new tank of premium fuel, car decides to stop running, hence miss out on epic RC members cruise and wait over an hour for a tow. Arrive home to a call that brothers corolla has also shat itself on the way to said cruise. proceed to dismantle my car, drive an hour up the road and fix his before returning home. Such a gay weekend for cars
  21. FFS I can't believe i missed out on this! already trying to sort new engine for the next one
  22. Some hooker has called a staff meeting at 9am on Sunday for me. so i'll fang up the M1 straight after to meet up with you guys
  23. Just take it on the chin i say, fair enough you may have been hard done by. But if you speak up people will notice and you will get a name for yourself withing the system. Then possibly targeted by the boys in blue. I'm young, i get targeted. Nothing i can do about it because by law i must display my plates. Treat all police like a distant relative and they should let you off with a slap on the wrist 'Hooning laws' is just another tax, targeted at those who take interest in cars.
  24. yeah i should, made it up to the JDMST meet last night, 1 1/2 hour one way trip and all went well
  25. I'll be showing up, may bring a few other rolla mates, depending if they are keen for the drive up tho
